'I love you, goodbye': The last words of mother to her daughter after she became in entangled in rope connected to a sinking boat on tubing outing during which her boyfriend planned to propose

A 30-year-old woman was just moments away from a marriage proposal on Saturday, when she got caught in rope connected to a sinking boat and drowned in front of her eight-year-old daughter. 

Tasha Turner was celebrating her birthday with friends and family at southern California's Big River Park when the tragedy struck Saturday evening.

Turner, her boyfriend Norris Salah, her daughter Genesis and four others were taken out on on the Colorado River in a boat to go tubing.

Turner's boyfriend Norris Salah (right) was on the boat at the time and planned to engage to her on the tubing trip 

But around 6:30pm, the 19-foot closed-bow boat lost power and started taking on water. 

Everyone else was able to get off the sinking vessel except for Turner, who became caught in rope connected to the ship.  

Unable to free herself, Turner handed her daughter off to a jet skier who stopped to help.

'With complete selflessness, she saved her boyfriend who couldn't swim and her daughter Genesis before sinking with the boat,' a GoFundMe page details. 

According to her sister Myesha Turner, who was not on the boat, Turner made sure to say her final goodbyes to her darling daughter. 

Turner and Salah had been together for four years. She reportedly helped him get off the boat since he can't swim

'Before her mom threw her, she gave her a hug and said "I love you. Goodbye,"' Myesha told NBC Los Angeles.

Salah also spoke out in the interview, revealing that he planned to propose to his girlfriend of four years on the boat. He had the diamond ring in his pocket when the it drowned.  

'I love you very much. I love you,' Norris said of his late girlfriend through sobs and tears.

Police say there were seven people on the boat when it drowned in Big River Park on Saturday.

The boat's operator, Umberto Bagnara, is said to be cooperating with police. 

Law enforcement are still investigating what caused the boat to drown, and are looking into whether too many people may have been on board.

The GoFundMe is being used to help raise money for Turner's funeral. Any leftover money will be given to Genesis.
