Justin Theroux's neighbour hits back over noise complaint lawsuit against him... claiming actor 'is angry, leaves dogs for hours and stays up late' at home he shares with Jennifer Aniston

Justin Theroux's neighbour has responded to the actor's lawsuit against him.

The New York-based husband, 45, of Jennifer Aniston, 48, sued Norman Resnicow for $350,000 and punitive damages after Resnicow took legal action himself about the noise caused by renovations at Theroux's upstairs apartment.

But Resnicow has now apparently claimed that he and his wife are the victims and that they have been subjected to Theroux's rude behavior at their Greenwich Village residence for as long as he's lived there.

According to the legal documentation cited by TMZ, Theroux's dogs 'bark endlessly because they are left isolated for long periods' and the actor is often heard 'dropping heavy weights on the floor at 3AM' and has 'angry outbursts'.

TMZ continues to report that Resnicow and Theroux did at one time have a friendly relationship, and that the court docs state they had a history of 'friendly relations and cooperation'; which is why Resnicow goes on to allege that the screenwriter's legal complainsts are 'as fictional as the television series in which he recently starred'.

The bitter dispute is said to have escalated after Resnicow asked his famous neighbour to soundproof his apartment.

Theroux has been having adjustments made to the Greenwich Village place, and his downstairs neighbor was allegedly infuriated by the noise this caused.

Resnicow had demanded that Theroux provide funds of up to $30,000 for sound-proofing, according to TMZ.

Theroux said that after he declined to shell out the funds, the neighbor set out to antagonize the construction workers making the renovations.

He claims he vowed a number of actions that would make life unpleasant for the actor.

Among them: he'd disconnect the water and electricity to The Leftovers star's home; and go public with the beef in an effort to smear Theroux and Aniston publicly.

The neighbour is alleged to have told Theroux in an email that any legal moves he took would open 'the door to a broad range of allegations that would become publicly available, and which would not please Justin or his wife or their respective publicists,' according to the outlet.

The Girl on the Train actor marked his and Aniston's second wedding anniversary with a sweet photo on social media at the weekend.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Justin shared a photo of his wife giving him a tender kiss on the cheek.
