Decorated actors are often known for their devotion to cerebral pursuits.

And it seems Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence is no different after she revealed she would sit in a special area where she could watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians on an endless loop on the set of her latest film.

The reality television fanatic revealed it had even been decorated with framed images of her idols so she could relax in a 'happy place' while making Mother.

The actress told Vogue: 'It was a tent that had pictures of the Kardashians and Keeping Up with the Kardashians playing on a loop.'

'And gumballs. My happy place.'

While such devotion to reality television seems hard to believe when talking about a Hollywood A-lister, it certainly fits the average girl persona the 26-year-old has fastidiously cultivated.

However it seems her Harvard-educated latest beau Darren Aronofski, who directed the flick, was not exactly keen to learn about her cultural endeavours.

He insisted: 'I wasn’t involved in that. I was like, "What are you talking about, ‘the Kardashians?"'

No doubt he now knows all their names by heart thanks to his other half's devotion to all things Kardashian.

According to Jennifer, the crew of her film had the area set up so she could relieve the stress she was under while working on the forthcoming psychological thriller, which is released in the US on September 15.

Indeed filming was so intense she even cracked a rib at one point, as well as hyperventilating.

She said: 'I had to go to a darker place than I’ve ever been in my life. . . . I didn’t know if I’d be able to come out OK.'

But thanks to Kim and co, she ended up being just fine.

Jennifer also talked about how she fell for the wealthy filmmaker on set.

She said: 'We had energy. I had energy for him. I don’t know how he felt about me,' she told the September 2017 issue, which doubles up as the 125th anniversary edition of the fashion publication.'

Given she is just your average Kentucky girl, who just happens to be worth $60 million, she said it was refreshing that her highly-educated other half is not snobbish.

Jennifer said: 'I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard. He’s not like that.'
