The British-born, Australian-raised actress stars in the American Drama The Glass Castle, based on the life of journalist Jeannette Walls as her eccentric mother Rose Mary.

In the film, Naomi looks almost unrecognisable as the artist and teacher who lead a nomadic lifestyle with her husband Rex Walls, played by Woody Harrelson, and their four children.

Naomi said in an interview with Today about the film: 'I think there's a lot of hope and love - like you said, it's a dysfunctional family, but there's a lot of love between them.'

Meanwhile, the star also recently opened up about co-parenting with her ex-partner of 11 years Liev Schreiber in a candid interview with Australian Women's Weekly.

Naomi revealed that despite their differences, she and Liev, who annouced their split in September 2016, intend to raise sons Alexander 'Sasha', 10, and Samuel Kai, seven, in a stable environment.

'Routine is a big part of it,' Naomi said.

'Obviously Liev and I are actors - there is some moving - but we've really tried to keep the boys in the same school. Give them structure, boundaries,' she added.
