Chester Bennington's widow Talinda Bentley, 40, has revealed the star filmed a Carpool Karaoke segment before his death last month. 

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the wife of the Linkin Park frontman revealed she had been approached by James Corden to ask for permission to air the sketch, and was quick to praise the Late Late Show host. 

Retweeting a statement from James, she wrote: 'Thank you @JKCorden... Thank you @CarpoolKaraoke'.

James had told the Associated Press: 'We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled.

'We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it. It's a tragedy.'  

Chester, 41, hanged himself from a bedroom door in his home near Los Angeles last month. His death was ruled a suicide.

The statement came as excitement around the revamped series reached fever pitch as host James, 38, handed over the baton for the launch party for Apple Music's Carpool Karaoke: The Series in West Hollywood on Monday night.

James posed with his pregnant wife Julia, 38 - who he is expecting baby number three with - and couldn't have looked prouder as she showed off the beginnings of her baby bump.

Julia opted for a blue chiffon Erdem dress, which fell to her knee and skimmed over her blossoming tum, and paired the look with some black court heels.

James displayed his trim physique in a pair of straight cut jeans, black T-shirt and trendy blue leather jacket.

Julia announced that she was expecting for a third time last month, adding to their brood of two; son Max, six, and daughter Carey, two. The happy couple married in 2012.

She called James out for his 'act', looked bored throughout the entire clip, warned James 'I'm not singing today, I've been up all night', before belting out an incredible rendition of Vision Of Love.

Now that Apple Music has obtained the rights to the show, fans have eagerly been anticipating the arrival of the Carpool Karaoke standalone show, with the series being streamed every week from August 8th.

The trailer for James Corden's new venture features a host of A-list stars buckling up in the passenger seats as they embark on a road trip around LA - with the focus entirely on the celebrity guests, as James will no longer feature on the show.

Apple signed a deal with CBS Television Studios and Fulwell 73, the production company of Late Late Show executive producer Ben Winston, to turn the segment into its own series, which will air first exclusively for subscribers to the iPhone maker's music streaming app.

The host of the series is expected to be announced at a later date, and is not expected to be Corden - although he is set to be the Executive Producer of the series.
