Kim Zolciak has spoken about the stroke she suffered during her stint on Dancing With The Stars in 2015.

The 39-year-old reality television star said the incident was 'life changing', during a sneak peek of her appearance on Wednesday's all-new episode of Hollywood Medium.

She revealed the moment was 'so scary', after medium Tyler Henry picked up a message from his spirit guides about the well-publicised mini-stroke which saw her pull out of the ABC show.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star described how the incident occurred after taking a flight home to Atlanta from Los Angeles.

'I was just normal and went down to hug my son as soon as I pulled in my driveway. and then my hand started to go numb. But it was numb times a gazillion,' she explained to a shocked Henry.

'When I couldn't speak and I was trying to... it was so scary', she added.

The wig-loving mother-of-six told the camera: 'The stroke was life changing, literally. I never thought at 37 I'd have a stroke, and in front of my children nonetheless.

'I've pretty much fully recovered. But I can't say that I don't think, like "can this happen again?"'

Medium Tyler told Kim and her husband Kroy Biermann: 'So what they are having me reference to is an acknowledgement of a stroke, but there are two stroke messages.

'One is a stroke that an individual suffers and then passes away', he revealed to the shaken star.

'The other is an incident in which someone has a close call involving a stroke, or something like a stroke, but they actually live and survive through this.

'I'm seeing a susceptibility to what looks like blood clots,' he added.

At the time time, Kim took to Instagram to share the health scare.

'The last 24hrs have been whirlwind!' she wrote. 'I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS) I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke) the left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone.

'I have 100%of my feeling back THANK GOD. Still in the hospital but I just know I'm getting released today!'

She had to withdraw from DWTS after being hospitalized for the transient ischemic attack.

Kim has six children, two teenage daughter from previous relationships - Brielle and Ariana - and four with her current husband, Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy - Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kane and Kaia.

Brielle and Ariana were adopted by Kroy after he married their mother.

Kroy, 30, and Kim met in May of 2010 at the event Dancing with Atlanta Stars and were married just over a year later on November, 11, 2011, with Kim changing her outfit three times during the $1million ceremony.

The family currently lives in a sprawling 7,186 sq ft mansion that features five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a huge swimming pool, eight fireplaces and a two-story master closet.

They purchased the property in 2012 for $880,000 and then made major renovations to create what they call their 'dream home.'

During the five seasons she appeared on Real Housewives, Kim became known for her love of wigs, drinking white wine out of red Solo cups, smoking cigarettes and her tempestuous relationship with fellow cast member Nene Leakes.
