Paige VanZant has picked up a gruesome foot injury that could alter her plans amid talk that she is set to change divisions within UFC.
The 23-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday to post a horrific photo of a gash on her left foot, with the caption: 'Well damn'.
It is not known how the UFC star picked up the gruesome injury but it comes amid reports that she is ready to make her return to the Octagon at UFC 216.

VanZant was defeated in her last fight by Michelle Waterson at the UFC on Fox 23 in December
VanZant last fought after being choked out by Michelle Waterson in the main event of the UFC on Fox 23 back in December in front of her home fans in Sacramento.
However, she will be hoping to get back into the win column soon and it is being reported that she is set to move up a weight to fight Jessica Eye at UFC 216.
According to FloCombat.com, strawweight VanZant will move up to 125 pounds to take on Eye, who will move down from bantamweight.
The initial reports claim that verbal agreements are in place but UFC officials have yet to announce the fight.

UFC 216 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 7 but it is still without a main event for now.
VanZant, from Oregon, had been training intensely as she looks to make her return to UFC in emphatic fashion.
The 23-year-old recently posted a video on her official Instagram account of her sprinting on a treadmill and she will be hoping her foot injury doesn't set her back for long.
