Kate Moss's little sister Lottie, 24 years her junior, has followed her older sibling into a lucrative modelling career.

From Vogue covers to black and white Calvin Klein adverts, the start of Lottie's career already has echoes of Kate's some two-and-a-half decades ago.

But away from the camera, the younger Moss seems to have also acquired Kate's love of partying and creating a close circle of friends with fellow models.

Here, The Mail explores how the two are starting to resemble each other in more ways than one.

Two Teen Prodigies

Kate was famously discovered at New York’s JFK airport when she was 14 by Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm Models management. 

The same agency also signed Lottie after spotting her potential when pictures appeared of her as a 13-year-old bridesmaid at Kate’s 2011 wedding to rock star Jamie Hince. 

Kate’s first big modelling assignment came when she was 17 years old appearing in campaigns for Calvin Klein underwear, with actor Mark Wahlberg, and for their jeans (above left). 

Calvin Klein also launched Lottie’s career when she appeared in her own jeans campaign for them, aged 16, shot in black and white, just like Kate’s.

Circle Of Fame

Kate’s longest standing friendship is with model Naomi Campbell, who started out at the same time as her.

Other friends include designer Stella McCartney, actresses Liv Tyler and Sadie Frost and Madonna. Introduced by a mutual friend, the businessman David Tang, Kate is also good friends with The Duchess of York and even joined her on holiday in Greece last year. Kate’s closest male friend is Edward Enninful, the new editor-in-chief of British Vogue. Lottie is close friends with stars of Made In Chelsea, some of whom she met at private school in Sussex. It was former cast member Jess Woodley who was photographed snorting mysterious white powder alongside Lottie this month.

She’s become friends with Sofia Richie, 18, daughter of singer Lionel, and Sistine Stallone, 19, daughter of actor Sylvester.

Taking the world by storm

Now 43, Kate’s modelling portfolio dwarfs Lottie’s. She’s appeared on the cover of British Vogue 33 times, more than any other model. And as the magazine’s new editor Edward Enninful is her bestie, (who’s given her a contributing editor role) chances are she’ll be landing a few more.

Over the years she has had contracts with Chanel, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. She’s designed collections for Topshop and has a deal with Rimmel cosmetics. It’s earned her a fortune of £48 millionwhich pays for her £8 million house in North London and her £2.5 million Cotswolds retreat.

Lottie’s appeared on the cover of French Vogue (above) and Teen Vogue and has a contract with Chanel to promote their eyewear and Bulgari accessories.

Always up for a party

Kate’s partying is legendary. She’s a woman for whom an early night in with a good book is not an option.

She celebrated her 43rd birthday with a 14-hour bash at The Dorchester. Still, it was tame compared with her 40th party at her Cotswolds home which cost £100k, had a psychedelic theme and went on for four days. 

With a Marlboro Light cigarette never far from her lips, just like her sister, Lottie is also turning into something of a party fiend.

Her 18th was celebrated at Wyld nightclub in London, where she dressed in a sheer black mini dress. When not clubbing in Ibiza, Lottie likes London nightclubs including Mahiki, a favourite of Prince Harry, and Embargo.

The kisses and the tears

When it comes to her men, Kate will take a rebellious bad boy over a goody two-shoes any day.

Since splitting from Jamie Hince two years ago, Kate has been having an on/off relationship with Count Nikolai von Bismarck (above), 13 years her junior. The couple share a love of fashion and art and have both had spells in rehab.

Kate said she ‘cried for years’ when her four-year relationship with Johnny Depp ended in 1998. The relationship had been stormy — Depp was arrested for trashing a hotel suite the couple were sharing in New York in 1994.

There were flings with Daniel Craig and Fifty Shades Of Grey actor Jamie Dornan but her most controversial lover was heroin addict musician Pete Doherty.

It was during her relationship with him that she was filmed apparently taking drugs at a recording studio.

Kate’s daughter Lila Grace is from her three-year relationship with magazine editor Jefferson Hack. Lottie has had two serious boyfriends — both who appear in TV programme Made In Chelsea.

Sam Prince, 19, a model, was her first. Aged 16, Lottie dated him for two years then replaced him with Alex Mytton (above). They recently split amid claims he cheated on her.

Tattoo twins

In 2002, Kate had a nude portrait painted by late artist Lucian Freud, and he told her he used to do tattoos for sailors using ink and a scalpel.

This led to Freud inking two swallows onto Kate. She later said: ‘It’s an original Freud, I wonder how much a collector would pay for that? A few million?’ Lottie had to make do with an ordinary parlour for the three birds tattooed on her torso last year.

She’s since had ‘Not yours’ inked onto her buttock, said to be a message to former boyfriend Alex Mytton.

Sibling scandals

Kate’s the beautiful and the damned-themed 30th birthday party was reported to have ended in an orgy at Claridges hotel with Kate having a lesbian threesome with Sadie Frost and heiress Davinia Taylor.

In 2005 she was pictured snorting a substance, alleged to have been cocaine, in a recording studio with then boyfriend musician Pete Doherty.

It led to her losing contracts with H&M, Chanel and Burberry. Further stories emerged stating Kate had snorted cocaine in the home of Nelson Mandela.

Compared with her older sister, Lottie is a saint.

She was splashed all over the newspapers last week when her friend, Jess Woodley (above right) snorted a substance while sitting next to her on a pavement.

Prior to that the naughtiest thing Lottie had been caught doing was relieving herself in the street after cocktails in Ibiza.

Beauties all aboard

As Lottie’s 164,000 followers on Instagram will be aware, she loves to post provocative belfies (that’s bottom selfies).

Last week she was on the Greek Island of Mykonos. She’s also been to Ibiza, Marbella and California this year. Her bikinis are tiny £250 numbers by Kiini.

Currently in Capri with boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck, Kate has been seen lounging on a boat in Turkey with Edward Enninful (left). This year she was on a yacht on the French Riviera with male model Jordan Barrett, 20.
