In the film, as with the musical, Connors kept waking up on the same day 'Groundhog Day' before attempting to woo Andi MacDowell's character.

According to the New York Daily News, Murray, 66, appeared at the August Wilson Theatre on Tuesday night to watch the musical, which has been nominated for seven Tony Awards.

Somewhat appropriately, Murray was back again to see the show on Wednesday.
