'She would organise family picnics': Naomi Watts' co-star Sarah Snook gushes over the resurgent 49-year-old's generosity ahead of The Glass Castle world premiere

Australian actress Naomi Watts is experiencing incredible career resurgence.

Praised for her TV return in David Lynch's Twin Peaks, the 48-year-old has found yet another fan in The Glass Castle co-star Sarah Snook, 30.

'Naomi is so lovely,' the fellow-Aussie told The Daily Telegraph ahead of the film's world premiere in New York on Thursday.

Confidently sporting a figure-hugging white frock at a promotional event Wednesday, the publication likened Naomi's resurgence to that of Nicole Kidman.

But despite her superstar status and an enviable best friends list, her Glass Castle co-star praised the veteran's generosity and accessibility.

'She would organise family picnics because her sons were also in Montreal when we were shooting,' Sarah said ahead of the premiere.

'We would have these family picnics on Sunday. It was a good social time as well as work time, which I think has been infused into the film.'

Naomi plays the eccentric artist mother-of-four Rose Mary Walls in the dysfunctional family drama, which hits Australian theaters on August 16.

Sarah will play a character called Lori in the film, and despite being deep in the supporting cast, found Naomi accessible and down-to-earth.

Also starring in the film is Oscar winner Brie Larson, 27, with the flick currently holding a disappointing 56 percent critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

That explains it! Part of Naomi's clear resurgence may be attributed to the reports she's moved on from ex of 11-years Liev Schreiber
