The musician added that her son Daniel, 12, had his first day back at school had been tainted by seeing the horrific images of the violence in Charlottesville.

Solange added: 'My son’s first day of school has been in the midst of seeing these bulls**t images that still tell him this system was built to be against him.

'How mofos supposed to have a fresh start with education, seeing this s**t?

'Thinking about demanding he not be required to take American History because its deep dark rooted ugliness continues to live right now, right before our eyes.'

Solange - the younger sister of Beyonce, 35, - shares son Daniel, aka Julez, with ex-husband Daniel Smith.

Announcing she was bowing out of the micro-blogging site on Tuesday, she wrote: 'Deleting my twitter soon, but before I dip when we gonna pull up? & what we got to do to get my new hero Takiya Thompson free?'

Takiya was among the counter-protesters arrested for helping to take down a Confederate statue in Durham, North Carolina.

Riots have crossed the country, most tragically in Charlottesville, Virginia, where one woman died when a car driven by white nationalist James Fields, 20, ploughed into a crowd of counter-protesters on Saturday.

The war preserved the union and freed black slaves.

In May, Solange wrote a poignant letter to her teenage self for Teen Vogue warning of battles of 'fear and triumph'.

She said: 'There will be fear. A lot of it. There will be triumph. A lot of it. There will be constellations you want to reach for but can’t put your finger on. You will trace them like the scars on your body you got from trouble and the times of your life.

'You will take the long way to get to these Orions. The long way will become a theme in your life, but a journey you learn to love. '

Meanwhile, Solange's mother, Tina Knowles told TMZ it would be 'really great' if Beyonce bought the Houston Rockets basketball team, although she didn't give any details.

Adding that Beyonce would be a good owner 'probably because it's her hometown.'

The website caught Beyonce's mom after her Tuesday night dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills.
