The Harry Potter star completed her striking look with a trailing black coat which kept off the bite to the chilly summer breeze.

She showed off her age-defying good looks, accentuated by light touches of make-up, as she pulled her voluminous corkscrew curls into an up-do hairstyle.

Keeping it casual, the leading lady slipped into a pair of chunky brogues which she wore over kooky socks.

Helena looked utterly relaxed as she arrived back on home turf following her time with her children in the picturesque Polzeath, Cornwall.

The lauded actress was involved in a 13-year relationship with film director Tim Burton before they separated in 2014.

The former couple - who share two children Billy, 13, and Nell - first met in 2001, when Burton cast her in a remake of '60s classic Planet of the Apes.

They went on to make six further films together, including Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, Alice In Wonderland and Dark Shadows.

The pair famously didn't marry during their relationship and unconventionally lived in two adjoining houses in London with their two children.

Helena previously admitted that she believes that herself and Tim still share something ‘very precious’ between them.

She insisted that she and Tim have maintained a strong friendship and have been able to avoid many of the usual problems associated with break-ups.

Speaking to Red magazine, she said: ‘I could write a thesis on what's happened and it is all-absorbing when a relationship breaks down.

‘But I think we're coming through it. I think we'll have something very precious still.’
