Anna Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer's striking resemblance to White House communications director Hope Hicks is revealed in near-identical photos - and even Hillary supporter Bee can't resist pointing it out

  • Shaffer, 30, took to Instagram on Wednesday to poke fun at a report that wondered ironically if she and Hicks might be the same person after all
  • Both she and 28-year-old Hicks have the same long brown hair, pale skin, full brows, and strikingly similar facial features
  • While the women have opposite political views, with Shaffer and her mother being strong supporters of Hillary Clinton, they share other similarities
  • Hicks grew up in the affluent city of Greenwich, Connecticut, a mere one-hour drive from New York City, where Shaffer grew up
  • The two women have a connexion with the world of fashion—Hicks as a former teen model, and Shaffer through her Vogue editor-in-chief mother

Bee Shaffer and Hope Hicks might not think alike, but a close look at photos of the two women reveals they do, in fact, look very much alike.

Anna Wintour's 30-year-old daughter herself brought attention to the striking resemblance on her Instagram account on Wednesday, by posting a screen grab of a report on Guest Of A Guest, which wondered ironically if the two women might actually be the same person.

'There are fine people on both sides,' Shaffer wrote, echoing the outrageous words Donald Trump used to refer to white supremacists and their opponents after the Charlottesville demonstrations that unfolded this past weekend.

Hicks, 28, became the White House's interim communications director on Wednesday, following Anthony Scaramucci's 10-day tenure.

Both she and Shaffer share the same long brown hair, pale skin, and full brows.

Their facial features are so strikingly similar, it is sometimes hard to tell both of the women apart in a set of pictures.

However, there is one fundamental point on which Shaffer and Hicks differ: both Shaffer and her mother are strong Hillary Clinton supporters, while Hicks obviously is on the Trump side.

Wintour proudly wore a T-shirt with Clinton's face on it at a New York Fashion Week runway show in February last year.

Two months later, she sported the garment again, this time on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where Shaffer worked as a segment producer at the time.

Still, in addition to their undeniable physical resemblance, Shaffer and Hicks share additional similarities that are not visible to the naked eye.

Both of them have affluent backgrounds, with Hicks having grown up in the rich town of Greenwich, Connecticut, a mere one-hour drive from New York City.

Later on, as an employee at the Trump Organization (where she was once the director of communications), she worked out of the city itself.

Shaffer, meanwhile, grew up in the Big Apple, where her mother's offices are located. The family also has an estate in Mastic, Long Island.

The two women share a connection with fashion, too.

While she has declined to follow in her mother's footsteps, telling Teen Vogue in 2014 she had never entertained the idea, she has attended events with her iconic mother, including the Met Gala.

Hicks, meanwhile, has worked as a model in the past. As a teen, she lent her image to Ford, Ralph Lauren and the cover of a Gossip Girl spin-off book, The It Girl, published in 2005.

Her modeling career, in fact, earned her a comparison to Hilary Rhoda from non other than Vogue.
