Stoke 1-0 Arsenal: Match report

NEW Arsenal endured another miserable trip to Staffordshire as Stoke won 1-0 thanks to a goal on his debut from new signing Jese Rodriguez. Jese swept home a pass from substitute Saido Berahino to hand Stoke the lead just 80 seconds after the interval - his first goal since joining from Paris Saint-Germain on loan.

Southampton 3-2 West Ham: new boy Arnautovic sent off

SAMI MOKBEL AT ST MARY'S STADIUM: Two penalties, a red card, a stunning comeback and an injury time winner. The Premier League is back everyone. Southampton left victorious, West Ham heartbroken. Slaven Bilic probably won't take any solace from it, but his team deserve huge credit for their contribution to this breathless football match, particularly after they were forced to play the majority of the game with 10 men after Marko Arnautovic's brainless sending off.

Liverpool 1-0 Crystal Palace: Sadio Mane scores winner

JOE BERNSTEIN AT ANFIELD: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was a relieved man as Sadio Mane's late winner finally ended stubborn Crystal Palace resistance. Klopp turned to second-half substitutes Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke after Daniel Sturridge had misfired in front of watching England manager Gareth Southgate. And two minutes after his introduction, Solanke forced Crystal Palace's Luka Milivojevic into a mistake that allowed Mane to gleefully shoot home from six yards.

JACK GAUGHAN AT ANFIELD: Jurgen Klopp did not shirk the burning issue. The Brazilian to have left the room was addressed before what threatened to be a frustrating day.

ROB DRAPER AT THE LIBERTY STADIUM: There is undeniable power and more than a hint of swagger about the Manchester United team Jose Mourinho is constructing.

Manchester United continued their excellent start to the season with a 4-0 thrashing of Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Here's a few things you might have missed from the contest.

CHRIS WHEELER AT THE LIBERTY STADIUM: This week, Paul Pogba spoke about being judged on his football rather than his price tag after being replaced as the world's most expensive player.

Jose Mourinho chose a motoring analogy to warn of the problems lying ahead after seeing Manchester United continue their flying start to the Premier League title race.

ADAM CRAFTON AT ST MARY'S: On an afternoon in which the discipline of two key Slaven Bilic summer signings lapsed, at least cause for optimism could be found in West Ham's £16m purchase.

Jose Mourinho reserved a special word of praise for his substitutes' bench after Manchester United's impressive away victory over Swansea City.

Leicester City 2-0 Brighton and Hove Albion report

KIERAN GILL AT THE KING POWER STADIUM: Leicester City recorded their first Premier League victory of the season as newly-promoted Brighton were handed another reminder of how tough life is at this level. Shinji Okazaki scored after just 52 seconds - the quickest goal of the fledgling Premier League season - and Harry Maguire put the game beyond Brighton's reach after half-time. Although Chris Hughton's team were much improved after half-time, they had left themselves with too much to do as Leicester cruised to three points.

Burnley 0-1 West Brom: Hal Robson-Kanu scores and sees red

MIKE KEEGAN AT TURF MOOR: Before kick-off Tony Pulis and Sean Dyche shared a warm embrace and a joke before parting for their respective dugouts with wide smiles on their faces. It is not known what was said, but after his forever-battling side eked out a narrow victory, Pulis is (joint) top of the league and is no doubt laughing again. Laughing at those who criticise his style, laughing at those who claim it is boring and laughing at those who spend millions more than he does without getting anywhere near the results he consistently provides.

SAM CUNNINGHAM AT THE VITALITY STADIUM: The boy out of Brazil, AC Milan were put off by, scored his debut goal for Watford as they comfortably won away at Bournemouth.

NEW BY CRAIG HOPE AT THE STADIUM OF LIGHT: Sunderland suffered a first loss of the season as Samuel Saiz made the most of his Leeds United's striker shortage to score and assist in a 2-0 win.
