Kirsty Gallacher was reportedly secretly dating actor Laurence Fox before splitting shortly before she was arrested for drink driving last week.

The Sky Sports presenter, 41, who is due to appear in court next month, was said to be in a secret relationship with Billie Piper's ex-husband, 39, for six months but the couple decided to 'call it quits' after growing tired of 'sneaking around'.

A source told The Sun: 'They had fun while it lasted, but having to sneak around was a bit tiresome in the end.'

The pair were reportedly set by friends, but the insider claimed that as Kirsty is 'still mad' for her ex Danny Cipriani, her new relationships have fizzled out.

Kirsty admitted earlier this year that she was in a relationship, but was keeping coy about his identity, teasing: 'It’s early days. I’m enjoying seeing somebody, going on dates and having a great time.'

The reports come after Kirsty was charged with drink driving after she was stopped at 11.30am as she was on her way to pick up her children.

The star was pulled over by police on Saturday morning after she was spotted 'driving erratically'.

Kirsty, who had enjoyed a night out with friends at the Winning Post pub in Winkfield, Berkshire, the previous evening, was on her way to collect sons Oscar, nine, and Jude, six, from her ex-husband's home when she was stopped in Eton.

She is due to appear at Slough Magistrates' Court on September 4.

Friends of Kirsty's, whose four-year marriage to former England rugby union international Paul Sampson ended in 2014, told MailOnline that she would continue to present for Sky Sports News, although Sky has yet to comment.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed that the TV presenter had been arrested and charged.

'Kirsty Gallacher, aged 41, was charged last night [Saturday] with one count of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the legal limit,' a statement said. 'She has been released on bail to appear at Slough Magistrates' Court on September 4.'

A spokesman for Miss Gallacher said: 'Kirsty and her family will not be making any further comment at this time.'
