Sheer delight! Bikini-clad Victoria Silvstedt, 42, covers her eye-popping assets and svelte figure in racy crochet cover-up as she enjoys a sun-soaked day at the beach in St Tropez

As a former Playboy playmate and international model she is known for her bombshell looks and killer physique.

And Victoria Silvstedt, 42, flaunted both to perfection as she made a showstopping entrance to Club 55 beach in St Tropez on Saturday.

Although the Swedish glamourpuss covered up her famous figure in a semi-sheer powder blue crocheted cover-up, her ample assets and envy-inducing midriff were still on full display in a white string bikini as she strutted down the sand.

The plunging bikini cups showed off her pert cleavage with the high-cut frilly bottoms revealing the star's tanned and toned legs.

Her platinum tresses were worn in tousled curls while her sparkling peepers were accentuated with a light coating of mascara.

Showing off her radiant tan, the star chose to forgo the bronzer and applied a baby pink lipstick to her pout.

Forgoing her usual skyscraper beach heels, the star went barefoot on the beach.

The daring halterneck cover-up featured a plunging neckline and flowing skirt which Victoria held out as she navigated the sand.

Her French getaway marks one of many holidays for Victoria this year - who has already spent time in Sardinia, Cannes and St Barts over the last six months.

The blonde has enjoyed a lengthy stint in the spotlight after being chosen to represent her country in the Miss World pageant in 1993.

Since her career rocketed, she has modeled for some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses, including Chanel, Dior and Valentino.

She later became a pin-up when she was spotted by Hugh Hefner and became a Playboy Playmate.

However, whilst she may have appeared to be living a glamorous life, she revealed that in reality there was a dark side to her modelling career.

Speaking to Female First, she said: ‘I started very young to model in Paris when I was 18.

'I remember like starving myself to fit into the clothes and it was an amazing experience but you know I did shows for Valentino, Chanel, so it was really prestigious.

‘But it never felt like it was my thing, I'm not like a runway skinny model, I'm more curvy. It was torture, I put myself through starvation, you know torturing myself.'
