She recently celebrated her 47th birthday with a week-long holiday in Miami.

And Melanie Sykes seemed to be pining for sunnier climes upon her return, as she shared a sizzling throwback bikini shot from the idyllic getaway.

Reclining on a pink sunbed, the bronzed radio DJ paraded her enviably toned abs and ample cleavage in a hot-pink bikini.

Showing off her lean physique to the fullest, she also slipped into a printed pink two-piece as she larked around in the surf in another Instagram snap.

She captioned the happy shot: 'Me on a grey, stormy, wet Miami Beach yesterday morning and it just felt good!'

The mother-of-two seemed to be loving the relaxing break as she shared another snap that saw her looking out at the waves.

'Been chillin on Miami Beach for my birthday week. Always a b****dy good breeze. Makes you feel alive,' she wrote.

The star had more reason to celebrate after recently being announced as the new voice of Blind Date.

Melanie, who celebrated her 47th birthday two weeks ago, told Women's Health: 'I’m in my forties and my body has more definition now than it did in my twenties.'

The former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant, who works out at the same London gym as Love Island's Caroline Flack, also shared details of her regime.

Mel said: 'I work out an average of four times a week – a mixture of weight training, high-intensity boot camp classes, tennis, barre classes and reformer Pilates.'

Proud: Melanie, who celebrated her 47th birthday two weeks ago, told Women's Health: 'I’m in my forties and my body has more definition now than it did in my twenties.'

The Modern Family beauty shared of her own workout routine: 'I don’t know if I’m strong. I have bad knees and very thin bones; I can barely do a pushup.

'I wish I could be a little more athletic, but when you’re born with these gigantic boobs… I’ve had them since I was 13, and then they got bigger when I was pregnant and had the baby.

'It’s not about having muscle or cut abs. I don’t have abs because I’m not "I need to be like a fit model with a perfect body." That would take too much effort!'

Brunette beauty Melanie, who joins host Paul O'Grady for the comeback of Blind Date, praised the news that the show is now welcoming same sex couples - a move she called 'long overdue'.

Praising the move by show bosses, Mel recently told Lorraine Kelly: '[Blind Date] is so fun and quite racy and the host is gay, so it makes sense... it's long overdue.'

Blind Date sees one singleton quiz three potential suitors on the show while they are hidden behind a screen.

Based on the answers they receive, they then choose one contestant to head on all-expenses paid holiday with them.
