Drake Bell finally forgives his former onscreen stepbrother Josh Peck after bitter feud over wedding invitation... by posting a photo of the pair hugging at the VMAs

They starred together in the Nickelodeon teen sitcom, Drake and Josh, for three years, before falling out earlier this year, when Drake Bell felt snubbed for not being invited to his co-star Josh Peck's wedding.

And Drake, 31, has finally put his feud with Josh, 30, to rest - as they each posted a photo of themselves hugging at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Sharing a warm embrace, the pair, who played onscreen stepbrothers, appeared to be firm friends once again after a bitter exchange of words at the beginning of this year.

Drake has since revealed he has some regrets about the way he handled the situation. The actor told ET in July he should never have slammed Josh on Twitter after discovering he wasn't invited to his wedding.

In a series of since deleted tweets, Drake called out the 30-year-old actor after only discovering he'd tied the knot with Paige O'Brien via social media.

'The message is clear… Loyalty is key… ALWAYS remember where you came from,' he tweeted in June.

But the TV star turned musician admits he reacted badly to the situation, and should never have gone on a Twitter rampage.

'We've been together 18 years, Josh and me, me and Josh,' he explained. 'We've been so close... I'd been talking to him, and he's been telling me about the engagement. And then I saw on social media, the wedding, and I didn't hear about it.'

'It was just like, "You didn't even tell me?! I had to find out on social media?" And then you're like, "You know what!? Fine!" and then I'm like, "Wait, I probably shouldn't have done that."'

In hindsight, Drake says it was a conversation he should have had privately with his former best friend.

'Yeah, I said the ties are cut or whatever, but I should have just texted that to him, you know,' he confessed. 'I was just being cranky.'

Despite the snub, Drake says he still has a lot of love for Josh. 'It's like sibling rivalry,' he added. 'We've gone through every up and down that you can think of that two guys can go through.'

'We've done our 18-hour days on set and it's, "What are you doing afterwards?"… "Going to your house and watching movies and playing video games", even though we've spent all day together.'

'And then there's other times where I'm only speaking dialogue to him. It's like, "Nope, sorry, I don't wanna talk, I don't wanna." It's just what brothers go through, what best friends [go through] and it's the yin and yang of brotherly love.'

In fact, Drake says he was 'really surprised' by how much attention his tweets garnered. He says the backlash from the pair's fans ultimately made him feel bad for his former co-star.

'I couldn't believe it! I mean, what a slow news day! I was like, "Trump, can't you tweet something?! Please! Like, just do something to get the attention off of this!"' he joked.

'I was really surprised, and what I was more surprised at [was] how the fans went after Josh. That bummed me out, because I was reading the comments and thinking, "Wait a minute, I can say it but you can't!"'

'I was wanting to defend Josh, be like, "Whoa, easy guys, easy. This is between us."'

And fans of the hit Nickelodeon series will be excited to hear he's open to a Drake & Josh reboot. 'If there's time, if it's in our schedules and it's right, I would jump in it in a second.'

'Because… there's actors I've done TV shows with, movies with, another TV show with, a pilot with, and still don't have the connection that I have with Josh... The chemistry… and what I have with Josh is so unattainable in this business.'
