Super-mom-dels! Victoria's Secret Angels Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel will return to the annual lingerie show for the first time since having babies last year

  • The brand has not yet announced its official line-up for the show, which will take place in Shanghai, but did confirm the two models will be appearing
  • Behati welcomed daughter Dusty Rose with Adam Levine last September
  • Candice had a son, Anacã, with Hermann Nicoli, in October 2016
  • Both mothers took the 2016 show off, having only given birth months earlier

Victoria's Secret Angels aren't known for taking a lot of downtime after giving birth, and have a history of making headlines for modeling lingerie just months after having babies.

So it should come as no surprise that Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel, who both welcomed little ones last year, are returning to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November.

In fact, the two models will each have had more than a year to whip themselves back into shape — much more time than fellow Angels have had in the past.

Victoria's Secret announced this week that both Candice and Behati will appear in the annual lingerie spectacular later this year when it goes to Shanghai for the first time.

Both took last year off, having each been just weeks out from giving birth to their first children.

Candice and her fiance Hermann Nicoli welcomed a baby boy named Anacã in early October of 2016, while Behati and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine welcomed a girl named Dusty Rose in late September.

Each will have had over 13 months to ready themselves to hit the runway again — and as red carpet and paparazzi photos from earlier this year indicate, they're more than prepared.

'I've been lucky — I was born with quite a fast metabolism,' Candice told The Cut this year. 'I'm that girl who orders the healthy plate with a side of fries. Your body is like a machine and everyone’s is different. I know mine quite well.

'[But] it definitely changes after you have a baby,' she went on. 'Having a baby is, like, extraterrestrial stuff. I'm amazed by how it bounced back and repaired. Creating a life in your tummy — it's amazing.'

She also divulged that she switched her workouts to the evening since giving birth because she spends the day caring for her baby. She does yoga, Pilates, and 'squat resistance stuff'.

In an interview with Savoir Flair back in 2014, she also explained why it's so typical to see models bounce back quicker than other people.

'Staying healthy and fit is my job,' she said. 'Taking care of myself makes me feel better; it makes me able to perform as a model. If I was unhealthy I wouldn't be able to do what I do. I feel lucky that it is part of my job to take care of myself.'

Behati — who actually made her post-baby runway debut at Versace for the designer's Fall 2017 earlier this year — appeared to snap back into shape by the end of October of last year.

Though Victoria's Secret has confirmed that the two models are returning, the company has not yet released the official line-up, which was whittled down from 400 hopefuls who auditioned last week in New York.

The brand has also not announced the musical guests for the show, which will air on CBS on November 28 at 10pm.

ANGEL MOMS ON THE CATWALK

Victoria's Secret Angels are known for walking in the brand's annual Fashion Show within months of giving birth.

In 2009, Heidi Klum shocked fans by returning to the show just five weeks after the birth of her fourth child, son Lou Samuel.

Then 36, Heidi nabbed — and still holds — the record for shortest recovery time, but she insisted at the time she wasn't quite satisfied with where her body was.

'I'm definitely one of the heaviest of the bunch of the 30 girls in the show. And I still have 20lb to go,' she said, adding that she was getting help from a trainer.

Just two years later in 2011, Miranda Kerr made her post-baby Victoria's Secret debut. She had given birth to a son, Flynn, in January, and was back on the catwalk in November wearing a series of tummy-flaunting lingerie looks.

According to an interview with Elle, she seemed to find that the weight melted off thanks to her breastfeeding schedule, which burns calories.

'Right after the baby I was just more focused on making sure I was breastfeeding him and he was my priority,' she said.

The next year, 2012, was huge for new moms, with three Victoria's Secret models coming back to the show after having babies.

Alessandra Ambrosio welcomed a son named Noah in May of that year. In June, Lily Aldridge had a little girl named Dixie. And in Adriana Lima had her second daughter, Sienna, in September.

Unsurprisingly, the three stunning women had each other to rely on for tips and advice.

'I was pregnant at same time as Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio and they gave me such good advice for how to stay in shape,' Lily told Cricket's Circle.

'When I was pregnant, I didn't put anything on my body that wasn't all natural. I went a bit wild,' she added. 'After I gave birth, I started doing Ballet Beautiful with Mary Helen Bowers. She got me ready for the VS fashion show four months post-baby.'

Adriana, meanwhile, worked out with a trainer twice a day, seven days a week, doing jump rope, boxing, and specialized sculpting maneuvers.

'We only had five weeks to do it,' trainer Michael Olajide, Jr. told Shape. 'Adriana does what she has to in the gym. Her work ethic is out of control! When she gets in her mind she wants to get something done, she does it.'

Alessandra worked hard too, but admitted to Net-a-Porter's The Edit that she liked her body more after having babies.

'Your body will never go back to exactly what it was before pregnancy, whatever people tell you. It can't,' she said. 'But I think I have a better body now than before I had kids.

'It's partly because I work out, whereas before I didn't, but also to do with the shape—it just looks more formed now and I feel better about it than I did.'
