Kristen Stewart's girlfriend Stella Maxwell showed exactly why Victoria's Secret chose her to be one of their Angels when she was spotted out with the Twilight saga actress in New York on Monday.

The 5ft 9ins beauty, who towered over petite Kristen, was wearing teeny black shorts that made the most of her perfect pins.

The 27-year-old blonde, who describes herself as British-New Zealand, teamed her shorts with a black leather biker jacket that she wore over a simple white T-shirt.

And Stella carried a very precious accessory - their new pup, who looked completely at ease in her arms.

Kristen, also 27, chose white for the outing, donning a white Duck Stars T-shirt and white cropped jeans that she wore with white socks and black sneakers.

She wrapped a blue and white bandana around her bleached blonde pixie-cut hair.

Kristen rested her hand in the waist of her jeans, revealing her toned and tanned tummy, when they stopped to talk to friends.

In bio-drama JT Leroy, Kristen stars opposite Diane Kruger and Laura Dern as Savannah Knoop, who spends six years pretending to be celebrated author JT LeRoy, the made-up literary persona of her sister-in-law.

Lizzie is a psychological thriller based on the infamous 1892 murders of the Borden family, starring Chloe Sevigny as Lizzie Borden.

Meanwhile, she co-stars with Jessica Henwick and T.T. Miller in Underwater, an action thriller about a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
