Despite the fact they've been dating nine months, Ariel Winter and Levi Meaden looked frosty as they the gym together in LA on Monday.

The couple, who are often very affectionate with one another, didn't put on their typical cosy display, instead looking upset after their workout.

The Modern Family actress, 19, had a face like thunder as she glared at her 29-year-old beau whilst they walked down the street.

Although the Modern Family star seemed in low spirits, she looked sensational in a pair of black skintight leggings with semi sheer panels that she teamed with a skimpy white crop top.

The natural beauty went make-up free as she wore her glossy chestnut hair tied back into a ponytail and donned black sneakers.

For the outing, Levi sported knee-length baggy blue shorts with a blue shirt and matching Nike trainers.

Earlier this month, the couple celebrated their nine month anniversary together.

In a sweet post, Levi announced he was delighted to be with the starlet, writing: 'Happy 9 month anniversary to this beautiful woman!!! Every day is an adventure and I couldn't be happier'.

The pair have seen their romance go from strength to strength in recent weeks, and in May, after six months together, the couple bought their first home together in Los Angeles.

Ariel found fame at the young age of 11 after being cast in the ABC hit, Modern Family.

She recently began filming season nine of the sitcom and to mark the occasion, she shared a video to her Instagram flashing her underboob as she stood in her on set trailer.

Whilst Ariel has previously come under fire for her racy ensembles, the star recently hit back at criticism, writing in a Twitter post last month: 'I'm not a w***e because I wear shorts and tank tops. I'm a normal girl.

'Also, I'm not "squeezing" into anything. My shorts fit me and everything I'm doing is just fine. Please leave young women alone.'
