Ant McPartlin's wife Lisa Armstrong sports wedding ring in defiant show of support to embattled star... after he admitted to putting her 'through hell' in midst of drink and drug addiction

After completing a two-month stay in rehab to treat his battle with drug addiction and depression, Ant McPartlin is now back at home and continuing his recovery with his wife by his side.

The TV presenter, 41, has previously credited partner Lisa Armstrong, for her 'amazing' and continued support throughout his troubles, after admitting he had put the make-up artist 'through hell with mood swings and depression' before seeking treatment.

And in a defiant show of support to her beau, Lisa was seen sporting her wedding ring firmly on her finger as she enjoyed an outing with friends in London on Monday.

Lisa, who has been married to Ant for 11 years, cut a relaxed figure while having a cigarette and chatting with friends.

Clad in an all-black ensemble, she appeared fresh-faced and chose to scrape her red-hued tresses back into a slick topknot that sat high on her head.

She appeared at ease as she caught up with her companions in the capital - seeming to be without husband Ant.

The couple recently enjoyed a reunion, as Ant returned home after addressing his health battle and seeking out treatment by checking into rehab in June.

Prior to his stay, Ant revealed he has been battling his condition for two years after an operation on his knee went wrong in 2014, leaving him in constant pain, and amid fertility struggles with his wife.

Following the surgery, Ant began taking the opioid painkiller Tramadol and became addicted. He revealed he had come close to death at the worst of his condition, which saw him rushed to hospital following a drugs and booze binge.

For the first time in three years, Ant is now believed to be clean and has lost a stone since being admitted into rehab. The beloved star is also expected to return to screens in November, when he will host the next installment of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here alongside Declan Donnelly.

Lisa has openly stood by her husband during his rehab and is helping to aid his recovery, following his hints that their marriage was on the rocks in an interview with The Sun on Sunday.

Ant confessed that his condition had put a huge 'strain' on his relationship and describing the impact it had on his marriage, he said: 'I'm very sorry about the effect it has on partners.'

He added that he regrets not telling Lisa about his battles sooner, admitting: 'In hindsight, I should have mentioned it earlier, but you're embarrassed about it.'

'I've put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you,' he confessed.

With the couple's inability to conceive a contributing factor to his depression, Ant went on to admit the pair had 'struggled' in their marriage over the last few years - but that Lisa has been helping him every step of the way.

Ahead of his rehab stay, Ant had released a candid statement about his health where he thanked his wife and family.

It read: 'The first step is to admit to yourself you need help. I’ve let people down. I’m truly sorry. I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I’m truly sorry. I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends through this really difficult time.

'I have spoken out because I think it is important that people ask for help if they are going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.'
