Coordinated couple! Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan make it a date at movie screening in the Hamptons

He was pictured kissing costar Gwyneth Paltrow on the set of Avengers 4 last week.

But Robert Downey Jr. was with his real life leading lady on Saturday as he joined wife Susan at a screening of the documentary Icarus in New York.

The couple looked coordinated as they posed together at the outdoor Hamptons International Film Festival event.

The 52-year-old Iron Man star wore a graphic print t-shirt with jeans and sneakers and finished the outfit with a dark blazer.

Susan, 43, wore a black knee-length dress with summery nude wedges.

The pretty brunette was a producer on the set of Gothika when she met Robert in 2003.

After turning down the actor's romantic advances twice, Susan finally gave in and the duo started dating, with Robert proposing the following year.

The couple married in a Jewish ceremony in August 2005 and they have two children together, son Exton five and daughter Avri, two.

Meanwhile, Robert was spotted in character as Tony Stark and smooching Gwyneth (playing Pepper Potts) on the Georgia set of the hotly anticipated Marvel movie on Tuesday.

It came after the 44-year-old actress flashed confirmed that the onscreen couple are engaged with a selfie on Instagram and an engagement ring emoji.

In May, Downey told Howard Stern that he was keen to get Gwyneth back into the Iron man films so they can hook up.

'My free pass – because her and Susan are such good friends – is Paltrow,' he revealed.

But there is a catch: the cameras have to be 'rolling on a take' for them to legally lock lips.

'I gotta get her back in these movies so I can make out with her onscreen again,' he concluded.

Fans who watched Spider-Man: Homecoming knew the superhero had popped the question to his assistant-turned-lover at a press conference right at the end of the film, but never actually got to hear her answer.

Avengers 4 boasts a long list of Marvel actors, including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Tom Holland, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Karen Gillan, Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner.
