Mic drop! Taylor Swift gives prime corner in Hollywood back to Kylie Jenner as she ditches billboard for new single after smashing records
It was fun while it lasted...but she got what she came for.
A Taylor Swift billboard that was situated in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd. - overshadowing one Kylie Jenner had touting her TV show, Life Of Kylie - has been replaced by one advertising new music from crooner Sam Smith.
The billboard was in promotion of Taylor's mega-smash single Look What You Made Me Do, which broke records in downloads, but is now promoting Smith's new release at the high-visibility intersection in Los Angeles.

This is what she came for: Taylor ditched the prime corner after her single smashed records
The dueling ads - an issue exacerbated by the longstanding rivalry between Taylor and Kylie's sister Kim Kardashian, and Kim's husband Kanye West - created something of a stir, but the issue is now a moot point.
The Shake It Off hitmaker, 27, initially appeared to outdo Kim's little sister, 20, as the placard originally overshadowed the reality star's advert for her latest series.
The lipkit queen's Life Of Kylie billboard shows her face with a crown and takes up a modest corner on a Santa Monica boulevard.
Meanwhile, Taylor's noticeably larger sign was placed a mere 50 feet away, featuring the pop star partially covering her face with her hands, as she looks out from behind the words of her new single Look What You Made Me Do.
The new Smith advertisement is in white, with a chest-up view of the slimmed-down singer, 25, in touting his upcoming release.
Another dig? Taylor Swift (L), seen here in October 2016, had essentially stepped on Kylie Jenner's toes after her billboard was placed just across the street from Kim's little sister's sign. But as of Tuesday, the billboard had been replaced by one touting the music of Sam Smith (R)

MailOnline has contacted Taylor's representative for comment.
This comes following reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reportedly 'don't care about Taylor Swift's new single.'
The pop star released her new song Look What You Made Me Do last week with lyrics seemingly critical of the power couple.

Power couple: Kanye and Kim, shown in April in an Instagram posting, challenged Taylor last year after she was referenced in Kanye's song Famous
A music video for the single released during the MTV Video Music Awards clarified references to Kim and Kanye.
'Kim and Kanye don't care about Taylor's new music,' a source told People in an article Monday. 'They find it pathetic that she still tries to keep an old feud going. They are not going to give her or her new music any attention. They have more important things to focus on, like their family.'
Kanye, 40, famously interrupted Taylor's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to protest Beyonce losing in the Best Female Video category.
New album: Taylor released a new music video Sunday for her song Look What You Made Me Do from her upcoming album Reputation due out on November 10
They appeared to make up at the 2015 MTV VMAs, but the feud erupted again last year.
Taylor took offense at Kanye's song Famous with it's lyrics: 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that b***h famous.'
Kim, 36, then posted Snapchat videos of Taylor approving part of the lyrics, but not the second half.

Taylor took to social media and claimed Kanye never said 'he was going to call me ''that b***h'' in his song.'
'You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called ''that b***h'' in front of the entire world,' she posted.
Kanye in his music video for Famous also included an image of Taylor along with other celebrities lying naked in bed. Taylor, in her new video, possibly made a nod to her fallout with Kim and Kanye by her inclusion of a Shakespeare quote on the arm of a throne she sits on in the video - 'Et Tu Brute.'
Subtle messages: Taylor in her new video sat on a throne that included the quote 'Et Tu Brute'
The meaning, 'You too, Brutus?' is often used to communicate shock after being backstabbed by a friend or someone unexpected and could be used in reference to Kim outing Taylor over her dispute with Kanye and his track Famous.
The end of Taylor's video also shows various past versions of herself bickering with each other.
Multiple versions: The 2009 MTV VMAs version of Taylor at the end of the video referenced her feud last year with Kim and Kanye
In unison: The other Taylors yelled at the 2009 Taylor at the end of the video
The video ended with the 2009 MTV VMAs version of Taylor repeating what she posted on social media in response to Kim leaking video of their phone call.
'I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative,' she said clutching her Moon Man trophy. 'Oh, shut up!,' the other Taylors responded in unison.
Their feud famously started when Kanye stormed the stage during Taylor's Best Female Video speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009, snatching the microphone and claiming Beyonce should have won the award.
Break over: Taylor, shown performing in February in Houston, will release Reputation in November following her last studio album 1989, which was released in October 2014
