About the Centre for Public Policy Evaluation

The Centre was established in 1997 in recognition of Massey’s increasing research effort in the general area of public policy evaluation. The focus is on inter-disciplinary research with an emphasis on the application of economics in this wider context.

The internet is used as a research tool and for dissemination of results.

Research has been done in several areas including education, health, and law. Currently there are specific projects on: the efficiency of the legal system; anspects of health policy and health evaluation; selected economic indicators; and the state and parenting.
