It’s funny how the simplest, perhaps longest and best remembered prayers can bring us the most comfort. I’ve recited the one above while lying in bed trying to assess what was going on in my chest more than once over the last several weeks. As I began trying to sort out why my wellness and sense of well being had tanked so quickly and dramatically this past year, or so, the refrain from doctors was uncomfortably similar and confounding: if you get short of breath, stop what you’re doing and if you have any chest pain at all, call 911 immediately.

I’ve been arguing with John Cardillo because I feel his banner stunt sponsored by Chuck Johnson at GotNews was just that – a PR stunt that took focus away from where it belonged today, on two families grieving for a tremendous loss I would never wish upon anyone. I’d also hate to see more policemen killed and I fear that may happen if things don’t start to settle down. I asked who sponsored the banner and this is all I’ve seen to that end.

Yes, the degenerate, and continuing to degenerate, Chucky C. my Johnson is being tongue in cheek here; however, true to his pathological form, Johnson always reveals more of his own internal void, than he does anything else, when he thinks he’s being funny, or smart.
I don’t care what your politics are, or your race, life history or predicament. In the news story Johnson is “gleeful” over, a young man of 18 is dead, his mother lost her child a day, or two before Christmas and a police officer will have to deal with the trauma of having taken a life. Will the cop, however right in his actions he may have been, have a Merry Christmas? Oh, I doubt it very much.

A previous version of this story included an interview with a man claiming to have been at the scene of the shooting and friends with the deceased. As police have released statements saying the second person involved in the incident has fled the scene, the source is now suggesting he was never there.
Of course, that still leaves them up over Chucky Johnson who now seems to want to hide still more of his already many mistakes, no matter how egregious.

This fatal incident happened approximately two miles from Ferguson, now infamous given the Michael Brown, Darren Wilson incident. Many Ferguson protesters showed up almost instantly, there were at least minor confrontations and, naturally, the usual suspects are already blaming the police and crying injustice.

A Berkeley police officer fatally shot a suspect who pointed a gun at him late Tuesday, St. Louis County police said early today.
Police did not identify the person killed but Toni Martin, who was at the scene, said he was her 18-year-old son, Antonio Martin.
