The United States Coast Guard released dramatic footage on Thursday of a British Royal Navy helicopter rescue of three stranded people - a mother and her two young children - in hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico. The footage shows a capsized boat that had washed ashore onto Vieques, a Puerto Rican island. The Coast Guard received an alert indicating that a distress call had went out from the vessel, which had capsized in 20-foot seas and 100-knot winds. The distress call was received at around 11:30am on Wednesday, but conditions did not permit the rescue teams to deploy until the next day.

Two teens 'raped a girl for hours' after kidnapping her

Authorities in Maryland have charged two teens with kidnapping and raping a classmate and police say a third suspect is at large. Police said in court documents that a female acquaintance of the victim may have persuaded the suspects to act. Police said the girl told them she was grabbed while walking home on Sept. 2, taken to an apartment and sexually assaulted. According to police, she said two were classmates who allegedly told her they were acting on orders from the younger female acquaintance. The $1 billion dollar US Embassy in London is still being built even though it was due to be open in Spring 2017. Among numerous design features for security is a tiny moat to protect against bombs. Pictures show that a metal barrier will also surround the bomb-proof building. The embassy, being built in the Nine Elms area of London, is already the world's costliest embassy - costs have spiraled upwards of $1 billion - and it's well past its due date.The building will also feature the world's first ever sky pool, inset bottom left, which is suspended 10 story's up in the air and acts as a bridge between two apartment blocks.
