And now MailOnline can reveal the identity of the 54-year-old's DIY SOS presenter's female friend.

The svelte lady, who was seen on Nick's arm as he left the glitzy showbiz event last fortnight, has been revealed as presenter, sports reporter and motoring expert, Torie Campbell.

The mother-of-one, who is believed to be married and from London, describes herself on her website as a presenter who 'loves a challenge and is more than happy to chat to a camera from a helicopter, driving a powerboat or from the terrifying press pit of a red carpet'.

The pair appear to be good friends and regularly tweet each other but there is no suggestion that they are romantically involved.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Torie and Nick and is awaiting comment.
