His relationship with wife of 11 years Lisa Armstrong has been rocked by claims of trouble.

And Ant McPartlin's rumoured personal woes seemed to be playing heavy on his mind on Friday, as he cut a pensive figure while running errands in London.

The 41-year-old presenter, who checked into rehab for alcohol and painkiller addiction earlier this year, looked downcast during the casual stroll.

Wrapping up against the September chill, the Geordie personality looked glum during the relaxed outing.

He seemed keen to go incognito as he covered up in a khaki camouflage print coat and mirrored square-frame shades.

Keeping it casual, he completed the look with black trousers and black lace-up brogues as he picked up essential items from an off-licence.

His outing comes after his marriage to make-up artist Lisa was rocked by claims of trouble.

According to the Daily Star, Lisa is 'upset' with Ant, who previously admitted that he had put his wife 'through hell with mood swings and depression' during his battle, and that the pair are spending increasing amounts of time apart.

A source told the newspaper: 'She’s had a rough year. And she’s made it clear it’s because of Ant.

'They’ve hardly been seen in public together since he came back from rehab a month ago.'

And the source said that Lisa, who is head of make-up and hair on Strictly Come Dancing is immersing herself in work.

They said: 'Lisa has really thrown herself into work at Strictly. She’s having lots of banter with the stars. But Ant isn’t mentioned much.'

The couple, who met as teenagers in 1994, have only been pictured together once last month since Ant returned from rehab.

Lisa was pictured walking the couple's dog Hurley alone on Wednesday. Ant's representative declined to comment when approached by Mail Online.

Ant has vowed to make his marriage a priority after checking into rehab for alcohol and painkiller addiction - but work commitments are about to keep the pair apart.

Ant is set to fly off to New South Wales in Australia this winter for his I'm A Celebrity presenting duties alongside co-host Declan Donnelly.

Lisa meanwhile will be tied up from the Strictly launch next weekend until just before Christmas.

After completing a two-month stay in rehab to treat his battle with drug addiction and depression, Ant has been continuing his recovery with his wife by his side.

The TV presenter has previously credited wife of 11 years Lisa, for her 'amazing' and continued support throughout his troubles, after admitting he had put the make-up artist 'through hell with mood swings and depression' before seeking treatment.

Ant returned home after addressing his health battle and seeking out treatment by checking into rehab in June.

Prior to his stay, Ant revealed he has been battling his condition for two years after an operation on his knee went wrong in 2014, leaving him in constant pain, and amid fertility struggles with his wife.

Following the surgery, Ant began taking the opioid painkiller Tramadol and became addicted. He revealed he had come close to death at the worst of his condition, which saw him rushed to hospital following a drugs and booze binge.

For the first time in three years, Ant is now believed to be clean and has lost a stone since being admitted into rehab.

Lisa has openly stood by her husband during his rehab and is helping to aid his recovery, following his hints that their marriage was on the rocks in an interview with The Sun on Sunday.

Ant confessed that his condition had put a huge 'strain' on his relationship and describing the impact it had on his marriage, he said: 'I'm very sorry about the effect it has on partners.'

He added that he regrets not telling Lisa about his battles sooner, admitting: 'In hindsight, I should have mentioned it earlier, but you're embarrassed about it.'

He continued of his wife: 'All I can say at the moment is that she's been amazing — fantastic throughout.'

The pair married back in 2006, after becoming engaged while on holiday to Dubai the previous year.

The couple had been together over a decade prior to their nuptials, having met on the Smash Hits tour in 1994 - with Ant performing alongside Dec as PJ and Duncan, and Lisa in pop band Deuce.

Lisa was the first to thank fans for their support following Ant's announcement in June and took to his Twitter account - that he shares with Dec - to share an emotional statement that read: 'Completely overwhelmed by all your love & support ,it means so much.

'I'm relieved he's receiving the help he needs, we just need him better.'

Ahead of his rehab stay, Ant had released a candid statement about his health where he thanked his wife and family.

It read: 'The first step is to admit to yourself you need help. I’ve let people down. I’m truly sorry. I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I’m truly sorry. I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends through this really difficult time.

'I have spoken out because I think it is important that people ask for help if they are going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.'
