Jeremy McConnell 'risks jail for REFUSING to clean graffiti off wall during community service'... after appearing to MOCK sentence for attacking ex Stephanie Davis

  • Jeremy McConnell had a stormy relationship with actress Stephanie Davis
  • The Dublin model was sentenced to community service for attacking Ms Davis
  • He has now refused to scrape graffiti off a wall claiming artist Banksy painted it

Jeremy McConnell is allegedly facing the possibility of jail, following a report that he refused to clean a graffiti-covered wall as part of his community service.

The 27-year-old Irishman, who was last month convicted of attacking his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis, reportedly told probation officers he didn't want to clean the wall in question because he believed it to be adorned with the work of Banksy.

A source told The Sun of father-of-one Jeremy, who is carrying out his community service in Wales: 'He has refused to scrub graffiti because he believes the artwork is a Banksy – and he’s told officials.

A decision is yet to be made about Jeremy and how he will continue his community service going forward. He could end up in real trouble over it.'

When approached by MailOnline, a spokesperson for Jeremy declined to comment.

The report comes as the reality TV star appeared to be taking a lighthearted approach to his sentence, when he shared an Instagram image of a coffee cup from a local Starbucks bearing the scrawled words 'Community Service'.

His controversial post on the popular image-sharing app - which came without a caption - suggested that he'd given his name as 'Community Service' instead of his real moniker when placing his order at the coffee chain store.

The Dublin native has been forced to trade in his lavish celebrity lifestyle in order to carry out his community service and will be staying with his friend Richard Cull's mother during his stint in Wales.

According to the Mirror, the Make or Break star's mother opened the door of their detached family home in the Welsh Valleys today to confirm 'lovely boy' McConnell was all set to move in.

The model, who rose to fame on Celebrity Big Brother last year, was convicted of throwing around Miss Davis 'like a rag doll' on March 9, leaving her battered and bruised.

He was handed a 20-week sentence suspended for a year at Liverpool Magistrates Court on September 13.

But now he is faced with 200 unpaid work, which will include scrubbing graffiti off walls and other gruelling tasks.

Mr Cull's mother Donna is a practising Christian and is even hopeful the former cocaine addict will join her religious rehabilitation group.

She added that she was unsure whether the Ex On The Beach star would be staying at her son's flat in Cardiff or the Cull family home.

Under Government regulations, unemployed convicts must do three or four days of their community punishment a week, while those who have jobs are expected to fit it in outside work hours - on evenings and weekends.

During his trial McConnell described himself as 'self-employed' and admitted his income was 'variable'. He appeared not to have any money in savings.

He narrowly avoided jail, as Judge Wendy Lloyd slammed him for showing 'no remorse', despite attacking his ex-Hollyoaks star lover while she held their baby son Caben-Albi in her arms.

She said: 'I find you have displayed no remorse, not even for the effect of this episode on your young baby.'

Mr Cull, who met McConnell on set of his first show MTV's Beauty School Cop Outs, told the court he would accommodate him during his community punishment.

On top of the unpaid work, when he will be forced to work alongside other convicts and wear high visibility clothing, he was forced to pay Miss Davis £1,000 compensation and a further £1,000 in court costs.

He was also ordered to undergo a 'building better relationships course' with the Probation Service and abide by a strict three-year restraining order, which bans him from contacting Miss Davis, her aunt, or mother Pauline.

In a separate case, McConnell was also found guilty of trespassing after drunkenly forcing his way into a Dublin woman's home on February 10.
