A nine-bedroom Georgian mansion home to the Great British Bake Off's iconic tent is on the market £5million.

Grade II listed Harptree Court near Bristol in Somerset, was the battle ground for star bakers and saw many a soggy bottom during its two-season tenure with the hit BBC culinary show, from 2012-13.

But owners Linda and Charles Hill have decided to put the luxury home on the market after seeing two bake off winners, John Whaite and Frances Quinn, crowned in their sprawling back garden.

'They also filmed the first ever episode of Skins here so we had Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel here too. The treehouse has featured in Vogue and Casualty has also been filmed here.

'It will be emotional leaving but there is enormous potential for the new owner.'

The current series of Bake Off is the first one to be screened by Channel 4 after six years on the BBC.
