Make-up free Gemma Atkinson swaps her Strictly sequins for casual coat and jeans combo as she heads to dance rehearsal with Aljaz Skorjanec

She performed a passionate Cha-Cha-Cha with her professional partner on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor over the weekend.

But Gemma Atkinson swapped her sequins for a casual ensemble as she got back to business and headed to rehearsals on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old kept things simple as she headed to the studio with partner Aljaz Skorjanec, 27, wearing jeans and trainers.

Gemma wrapped up snug in a monochrome coat which featured a faux fur-lined collar to keep her warm.

Prepared for the long day in the studio, the Glitter Ball trophy hopeful toted a large gym bag.

The golden-haired beauty looked radiant as she ditched her make-up and swept her long locks into a top knot bun.

Aljaz also swamped his athletic figure in a Pink Floyd 'The Wall' hoodie, teamed with a joggers and trainers for the ultimate comfort.

Gemma was unable to contain her excitement about her first dancing show.

The dancing queen wrote on social media: 'You taught me how to do the cha cha!!! I'm so grateful to you!!!! (sic)'

Their first raunchy Cha-Cha-Cha sent temperatures soaring when they took to the dance floor.

When she finished, she told Tess Daly: 'It's a bit nerve-wracking but it's exciting, we've done it now, so we can chill out!' 

Of their performance, new head judge Shirley said: 'Well, first of all I'd like to say what a way to open the series. You brought your cheeky cha-cha-cha!'

Bruno added: 'It was like one of those Amazonian catwalk queens on London Fashion Week. Give it to me baby!'

Unimpressed Craig, who complained that the dance was 'on the heavy side', gave Gemma a four for her efforts.

Meanwhile, the other judges handed out more generous scores of a 5, 5 and 6 - giving her an overall score of 20.

Speaking ahead of rehearsals, the actress said: 'I want to enjoy it, and everyone says you will enjoy it with Alijaz.'
