'You can throw anything at me!' Actress Annabelle Wallis reveals she was once caught up in a GUN FIGHT on a solo trip to Brazil

She's recently confirmed that Tom Cruise's peachy posterior in his new Second World War hit Valkyrie is the real deal.

But Annabelle Wallis turned the attention back on herself on Friday when she recalled her own real life experience in the crossfire.

Speaking in the October's issue of Vera Magazine for Virgin Atlantic, Oxford-born Annabelle, 33, described the moment she had to duck to avoid gun shots while on a solo trip to Brazil.

Annabelle described the moment when, aged 17, she was travelling by taxi in Brazil when gunfire rang out in a nearby favela and she had to lie down on the floor of the cab to stay out of danger.

She had unfortunately timed her solo trip to visit friends with a local drug lord's two-day reign of terror.

The The Tudors actress said: 'I have far more bravery than common sense.'

Annabelle, who has enjoyed a career full of diverse credits such as The Mummy, King Arthur and the television show, Peaky Blinders, added that she is one of the strongest people she knows, and often only lands parts for characters who have a similar inner strength.

She explained: 'I've seen a lot in my life. I've travelled alone through Africa and South America. I'm definitely a capable female.

'One of my friends once told me, "'If there was an Armageddon, you would get me out." You can throw anything at me.'

In the photo shoot Annabelle showcased her slender curves in a variety of demure outfits including a semi sheer Alberta Ferretti dress and a chic set of nude trousers and top from Emilia Wickstead.

The magazine appearance, which came as part of a revamp by publishing powerhouse INK Global, comes after the actress confirmed that Tom Cruise did not use a prosthetic to give his backside a boost on the set of his Second World War hit Valkyrie.

The blonde beauty, who crucially stood behind the actor on several occasions while filming horror flop The Mummy, told TMZ: 'I think it's all quite real.'

And while conspiracy theorists may argue the 33-year-old was paying her co-star back after he saved her life while filming a zero gravity scene for their big budget action-adventure romp, she certainly answered the question with authority.

The English actress, who said she owes 'bloody everything' to the Far And Away favourite due to his heroics after a wire almost got wrapped round her neck, spoke out after Tom himself revealed he did NOT wear a fake rear-end in 2008 blockbuster Valkyrie.

Director Bryan Singer filmed a lingering shot showing the star's particularly peachy posterior, which became a hot topic of discussion among fans, and, despite the asinine nature of the inquiry, has remained a bone of contention ever since.
