In the aftermath of a brutal fraternity hazing death, a college freshman's desire to join the best fraternity on campus is compromised when his older brother launches an anti-hazing crusade. Admittedly, not every filmmaker is a talent like James Cameron or Steven Spielberg, who achieved huge commercial and critical success upon their directorial debuts. But at the very least, a filmmaker should know how to make a passable or decent film. Nowadays in China, those who know nothing about filmmaking, start directing films and keep producing junk. Da Peng is just one of them.
As for this movie, the story is plagiarized from the 2016 movie "Sing" without much modification, many scenes simply look fake though this is not a fantasy or Sci-Fi movie, and most of the actors are miscast in the sense that they know neither singing nor playing instruments. Da Peng may be a brilliant actor, but definitely not a good filmmaker. Please stop making films.
