Dawn has been a stalwart of the hit show since its 2015 inauguration and makes no secret of her fierce protection of her family - making the reaction to their surgery decision a heartbreaking moment for the interior designer.

Away from the drama, the siblings turned models for the day as they were seen posing in eclectic floral jumpsuits, as well as metallic dresses accessorised with fur and leather jackets.

The pair had their locks curled into glamorous waves, with dramatic makeup including smoky eyes and power pout lips.

Both Darby and Taylor have been flaunting their figures since having their surgical enhancements, after mother Dawn broke down on Loose Women over her decision to allow them to have boob jobs.

The reality star, who lives with ex-footballer husband Ashley in Manchester, appeared on the show to explain why she supported Darby and Taylor when they came to her saying they wanted to go under the knife.

However she faced tough questions from Loose Women panellists Jane Moore and Saira Khan who questioned whether they felt they needed boob jobs because they had been raised in a 'glamorous' environment.

Viewers accused the panellists of 'attacking' Dawn, with one describing the interview as 'brutal'. One tweeted: 'Really didn't enjoy the interview with Dawn Ward. It felt like you were attacking her. Not nice.'

Dawn, who has four daughters, appeared on Loose Women following a Real Housewives of Cheshire episode which saw the family discussing Darby and Taylor's decision to have boob jobs.

Away from the cameras, Dawn and husband Ashley, a former Manchester City player, spoke to their daughters and took the decision to help them get boob jobs.

Appearing on Loose Women, Dawn said: 'They are very level-headed girls. They didn't just come to me and say "mum, we want a boob job". They came to me, we discussed it, they told me the reasons why.'

Dawn explained that Taylor had one breast that was two sizes smaller than the other while Darby had been left feeling self-conscious after weight loss left her with significantly smaller breasts.

She told the panellists that it is an individual choice and that, as they were adults, it was her role to simply support her daughters in their decision.

However Saira questioned whether their upbringing had impacted their decision.

She said: 'Your young girls have been brought up looking at really glamorous women. You're very glamorous yourself. Do you think part of it is that it's normal for them, that they look and they think: "My mum looks like that, my mum's friend looks like that so why don't I look like that?" Do you think it's normalisation?'

Later in the show, Dawn struggled to be heard as Saira and Jane both asked questions.

Jane asked if Dawn worried about why her daughters felt the need to have plastic surgery while Saira pointed out they had also had fillers and asked: 'Where does it stop?'

At one point Coleen Nolan stepped in and said how nice it was that Dawn shared such a close relationship with her daughters.

Darby, who was in the audience to support her mother, then spoke out and said that she '100 per cent' would have had the surgery regardless of what her mother wanted and said she felt 'upset' that she was being criticised.

Darby added: 'She is only supporting me in a decision I was going to take. It is something that I came to her with.'

Her kind words left Dawn, who was overwhelmed with emotion, wiping away tears.
