For Dakota Johnson eschewed the use of cheap ride sharing services when she hailed a taxi as she headed out in New York on Wednesday.

Of course it was very much a day to be living large for the Fifty Shades Of Grey favourite, as she was celebrating turning 28-years-old.

At one point the erotic movie actress seemed to chew on her headphones as she waited for her cab in a tasteful red coat, white top, black trousers and smart leather shoes.

Her jacket certainly clashed with the yellow livery of her transportation however.

Earlier this year fine filly Dakota, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, hit screens in Fifty Shades Darker, the follow-up to her smash hit film Fifty Shades Of Grey.

It continues the story between bondage-obsessed billionaire Christian Gray and his lover Anastasia, with the former wrestling with his inner demons while his lady friend grapples with past lovers, and occasionally Christian himself.

She has also teased fans in an attempt to whip them into a frenzy, saying: 'Christian and Anastasia decide to give it another shot... You really get to understand who these people are.'

Meanwhile the final part in the hit bondage series, Fifty Shades Freed, is set to be released on February 8.
