Her fiancé Kit Harington admitted that his proposal to her didn't quite go to plan, as he accidentally popped the question too early. 

But Rose Leslie proved her other half hadn't taken any shortcuts when it came to her engagement ring, as she headed to London's Heathrow Airport on Sunday to catch a flight. 

The Game Of Thrones actress, who was dating her fellow co-star for five years before he popped the question, went make-up free as she flashed the massive diamond sparkler.

Rose and Kit announced their engagement in September - five years after first meeting on the set of Game Of Thrones. 

And the Scottish beauty looked sensational as she flashed the statement piece on her hand while carting along her suitcase.

Rose, who played Ygritte in the hit fantasy drama, put on a stylish display in a chic oversized grey wool over a black sweater.

The beauty gave her striking features a break as she forewent any make-up and wore her shoulder length fame-haired locks in a tousled style.

She ensured she had all of her essentials with her for the flight, draping a maroon coloured backpack over one shoulder and carrying a kate spade new york handbag in the other.

Rose looked relaxed as she accompanied her suitcase into the airport to head to her next destination.  

Kit recently revealed his plan to propose to Rose didn't quite go the way he wanted to.

Looking dapper in a blue shirt and dark suit, Kit spoke of the proposal gaffe on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air this Saturday.

Talking about the big event, he said: 'I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.'

Kit quickly apologised for his inappropriate wording, explaining to host Johnathan Ross that: 'I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early'.

Kit proposed to his Scottish love in September, and announced the engagement in The Times newspaper.

Would Kit and his beautiful bride-to-be consider a Game of Thrones-style wedding, costumes and all? It's doubtful, said the War Horse star.

'No. There is absolutely no chance of me convincing her of that.'

Kit and Rose, who met whilst filming Game Of Thrones and began dating in 2012, have not yet to set a date for the big day and the announcement comes after the duo reportedly told their friend and family of their exciting news.

'They're yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they've got engaged,' a source told The Sun. 'Kit's known for ages he's wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first.'

The insider claimed Kit felt marriage was the natural next step for him and Rose, also 30, after they moved into a £1.75million mansion in East Anglia.

'After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step,' they said.

They had initially shut down speculation they were set to wed in July after Life & Style claimed the pair were 'planning their nuptials'. The U.S. tabloid alleged that Kit had popped the question over a romantic dinner, leaving his long-time girlfriend in tears.

'Kit recently cooked Rose a romantic candlelight dinner and proposed to her. She burst into tears and immediately said yes!' an unnamed source claimed.

However, the stars' reps denied that the pair were set to tie the knot at the time.

Kit, meanwhile, was caught gushing over his other half in June as he told chat show host James Corden: 'I've moved in with my other best friend Rose, so I'm very happy.

At the season seven premiere for Game Of Thrones in Los Angeles, he had spoken of his relationship with his former co-star and gushed it is 'such a special thing'.

Of course, when talking about Game of Thrones, host Johnathan Ross couldn't help but ask about Kits pert derriere, which made its way on screen in the latest season of the dungeons and dragons hit.

Kit admitted that it takes some work to keep his behind in good shape.

Of his workout, Kit said: 'If you’re getting your bum out in front of 60 million people, you do your homework' and said it was down to 'lots of squats.'
