YONGSAN GARRISON, Seoul, South Korea – Eighth U.S. Army and Republic of Korea (ROK) military personnel conducted a combined event exercising assets countering North Korea’s destabilizing and unlawful actions on July 4.
This exercise utilized the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) and the Republic of Korea Hyunmoo Missile II, which fired missiles into territorial waters of South Korea along the East Coast. The system can be rapidly deployed and engaged. The deep strike precision capability enables the ROK-U.S. Alliance to engage the full array of time critical targets under all weather conditions.
The ROK-U.S. Alliance remains committed to peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and throughout the Asia-Pacific. The U.S. commitment to the defense of the ROK in the face of threats is ironclad.

용산 기지, 서울, 대한민국– 미8군 및 한국군은 북한이 7월 4일 실시한 불법적인 도발행위에 대한 한미연합 대응훈련을 실시하였음.
이번 훈련에는한국군의 현무 2와 미육군 전술 미사일 체계 (ATACMS)을 이용해 대한민국 동해안 영해로 사격을 실시하였음 . 이번 훈련을 통해 한미 연합군은 모든 기상 조건에서의 시한성 표적 타격능력을 갖춤 . 위 체계는 신속한 배치 와 타격이 가능함 .
한미연합군은 한반도 및 아시아 태평양 지역의 평화와 번영을 지속적으로 추구하며 대한민국을 향한 어떠한 도발에도 한반도 방어에 대한 미국의 공약은 굳건함.
