Luke plays Elvis opposite Michelle, taking on the role of Georgie Lane in the war time drama which is gearing up for series three.

The twosome spent months filming together in South Africa and Malaysia for the second series and had to embark on a saucy kissing scene.

Detailing the moment they were required to lock lips, Luke explained: 'It’s very difficult to feel sexy in those situations. You just have to get on with it, go in there and do it.’

He also described what drew him to sign on for Our Girl: 'It was nice to do something contemporary and it was very current.'

'And she's brilliant - she's so easy to work with, she's got such a great energy, which really helps.'

In a further BBC interview, he added: 'Working with Michelle is amazing – she's hilarious. How could anyone not get on with Michelle?' according to The Mirror
