Eagle-eyed viewers of EastEnders took to Twitter on Friday night to rant about the breakfast deal on offer at Kathy's.

As characters Mick Carter [Danny Dyer] and Shirley Carter [Linda Henry] had a somber chat over a cup of tea, a sign behind Mick's head advertised a deal which offered coffee and a sausage or bacon bap for £6.

And viewers were not having any it as they rushed to Twitter to object the extortionate price of the deal.

'Anyone realised that the cafe is so expensive like £6 for a bacon butty and a coffee, that’s daylight robbery #eastenders [sic],' one person tweeted.

Another recounted: 'My dad telling Iain Beale to stick his "Bacon or Sausage sandwich and coffee £6" offer up his a**e. Hahaha. [sic].'

'Bacon or sausage sandwich and coffee £6.00?! Are you taking the p**s?! #Eastenders [sic],' typed another.

A savvy fan took some time to spot an even more obvious error with the costings: '#EastEnders Cathy's Cafe sign says bacon or sausage sandwich and coffee £6 but individually there £2.50 & £1.50 who's made a boo boo [sic].'

Another posted: 'Watching tonight’s EastEnders. £6 for a bacon butty and a brew? Robbing b******s. For that price I’d want Danny Dyer thrown in as well!'

'Bacon or Sausage Sandwich and a coffee £6.00 is that a wind up hahahaha #eastenders #walford #expensivecafe [sic],' posted someone else.

'£6.00 for a bacon sarnie and a coffee?! Call that a deal?! It's bloody expensive down Kathy's cafe! #EastEnders [sic],' came another fuming tweet.

Others reminded fans that things in the Capital can get expensive: 'I take it those horrified about the £6.00 coffee with a bacon and sausage sandwich don’t live in london then? Lol ! #eastenders [sic].'
