So it's no surprise Jennifer Lopez needed a healthy injection of caffeine to help make it through the day after enjoying an early morning workout in New York City on Friday.

The star, 48, looked relieved as she rested up against a light-pole after a very intense gym session, clutching a huge Starbucks takeout.

The Shades Of Blue actress wore an all-gray ensemble that tightly hugged her curves, with workout leggings and a long-sleeve shirt that read 'my religion is love'.

Jennifer teamed her casual outfit with sensible black running shoes, which were untied for her outing.

The mother-of-two wore her caramel colored locks in a top-knot bun, while sporting a radiant make-up free face behind aviator sunglasses.

The only thing the Maid In Manhattan star carried with her was her super-sized bedazzled coffee cup, which she was seen licking at one point in her stop.

Jennifer had her small entourage to accompany her through her outing in the city.

Along with her cousin slash executive assistant Tiana Rios, a bodyguard, and a man holding Jennifer's change of clothes was also joined on the walk.

Once the Jenny From The Block hitmaker was done taking her short coffee break, she carried about her day in the city.

The actress later pulled on a cozy-looking, fur-lined parka while walking the Big Apple.

Jennifer seems to have mastered the art of multitasking, as she was seen viewing a video on her phone as she crossed the busy streets.

Jennifer has fraternal twins Emme and Maximilian, nine, who she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, 49.

She and the musician were married for 10 years, before calling it quits in 2014.

The All I Have performer has now been dating former New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, 42, since early February.

The sportsman is a father to daughters Natasha Alexander, 12, and Ella Alexander, nine, from his previous marriage with Cynthia Scurtis.

Jennifer has been dividing her time between the Big Apple and Las Vegas the past several months as she continued her sold-out All I Have residency at Planet Hollywood.

Her boyfriend has been almost constantly at her side as their romance continues to blossom.

And he gushed to People recently about how much JLo means to his two daughters.

Alex said: 'She is such a great role model. They look at her like she’s the Messiah. When they’re in Las Vegas, I don’t think they leave Jennifer’s side.'

It was also reported that the happy couple will be moving in together in New York.

'They are looking for an apartment together for the whole family,' a source told People magazine of the couple, who are both parents.

Jennifer has reportedly put her penthouse in New York City on the market, while the happy couple hunt for a new place to call home for their themselves and their children.

'They will invest together in a new home when they find the perfect one,' the insider said, adding the couple are 'excited' about their future.'
