NEW Max, 27, who is the late Robert Sangster's (inset) son from his third marriage, married his society beauty girlfriend Eveie Longdon (top left together) with a glamorous bash in Ibiza before their society friends and family. Max, a financier, said 'I do' to Eveie, who runs her own lingerie line and is a close friend of Princess Eugenie, at the epic Balearic soiree (bottom left and right) and while the price of the nuptials wasn't disclosed, it is estimated to have cost in excess of £70,000. The event was a full weekend affair with a ceremony at the jaw-dropping Ibiza cathedral, which is situated on top of the hill in old Ibiza town, a party at a hotel and a cocktail party the following day. BBC1's Gunpowder written by Corbyn disciple Ronan Bennett

Gunpowder featured the most violent and visceral scenes of execution ever screened on primetime television. This star- studded BBC1 drama about the November 5 plot was not so much brutal as psychotic in its quest for historical accuracy. Sian Webber (pictured inset), best known as Phil Mitchell's lawyer in EastEnders, was stripped naked and crushed to death under iron weights on a public scaffold - a 17th century punishment known as 'pressing'. Her only crime was her religion, Catholicism. Then a young priest was hanged, drawn and quartered: We saw him strung up and cut down, copiously disembowelled and butchered with an axe, before his head was dipped in tar and displayed on a spike. The camera never flinched, though plenty of viewers must have done. The king's Protestant thugs are the oppressive English state, while the Gunpowder plotters led by arch-Catholic Robert Catesby (Kit Harington from Game Of Thrones pictured left) are the Republican freedom fighters, WRITES CHRISTOPHER STEVENS.

Britain's most feral families let kids shave their head

So, mums and dads, picture this. Your seven-year-old daughter skips into the living room and says that she wants to shave her head. Do you (a) tell her not to be so ridiculous and to go and do her homework? Or (b) point her in the direction of the clippers and let her get on with it? If you are part of a growing tribe who embrace a concept called 'extreme unschooling' - aka parenting without rules - then the answer is obviously the latter. The above scenario actually happened while cameras were filming at home with the Rawnsley family in Yorkshire (pictured inset) for a Channel 4 documentary on the phenomenon. Mother-of-three Vickie Hairsine (pictured left), 25, says her move into 'extreme unschooling' was gradual. She is certainly a chilled-out mum. Her eldest daughter, Jessica (pictured bottom right), now seven, started at primary school, but became increasingly 'sad and withdrawn', to the point where Vickie removed her. During filming, there is disruption in the house as Theo (pictured top right), four, spills juice everywhere while the 11-month-old crawls over the table.

Millionaire surgeon trying to rebuild home for second time

Sid Gautam (right), 37, is determined to have another go at building a large house in Penarth, Wales, after its rear walls crumbled and the roof collapsed during works last year (left). Following the initial incident in June 2016 at the house on Clinton Road - a sought-after area of the Vale of Glamorgan town - Mr Gautam submitted a retrospective application to build a four-storey home with seven bedrooms. But it received 13 letters of opposition from neighbours and residents, was opposed by Penarth town council and rejected in turn by the Vale of Glamorgan council in October. One of the objections called the plans 'poorly designed, incongruous and cramped'. Mr Gautam then flattened the whole house, meaning all that remained was a hole in the ground. Now he is having another go, and has submitted a revised planning application to the council for a six-bedroom home over four floors.
