The actress says Weinstein later burst into her room at the Sanderson Hotel in London and began masturbating in front of her while sitting on the bed. Then, Weinstein allegedly forced himself of Malthe and began having sex with her despite her pleas for him to stop. He did not wear a condom. Soon after he called again and asked her to audition for the upcoming film 'Nine' in Los Angeles. Malthe said that she believed she had landed a minor part after that audition. Weinstein called soon after asked her to meet with him, assuring her an assistant would be present. When she arrived, the woman he claimed was an assistant began performing oral sex on Weinstein while he asked Malthe to join them in a threesome.

Remainer universities: Anti-Brexit bias laid bare

The Daily Mail has uncovered a string of examples of senior figures at universities explicitly speaking out in favour of Remain. Before the vote, a raft of senior academics spoke publicly to urge their students to back staying in the EU. Last night, one student campaigner revealed a professor had stormed up to him at a Vote Leave stall in Durham - and compared Brexit supporters to the Nazis. Since last year's referendum, lecturers have been caught doling out pro-EU pamphlets and inviting students to meetings held by the pro-single market group Open Britain. The Mail also found Professor Geoffrey Grimmett (bottom right), the master of a Cambridge college used a graduation event this year to rail against Brexit. Tory MP Paul Scully was castigated this week and accused of 'McCarthyism' for asking universities what they are teaching about the UK's departure from the EU.

Apples carpet the floor of an orchard after Storm Ophelia

Picking apples can be a painstaking job lasting several weeks. But at this orchard, nature has done the farmers' work for them in one night. Tens of thousands of the fruit (shown main) were blown from the trees by a devastating storm. Instead, the apples' fall was cushioned and they were gently and neatly deposited on the ground, in perfect condition, as the waters receded. The owners of the orchard (inset), in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland, had been fearing the worst as the powerful remnants of Hurricane Ophelia battered the British Isles.
