Bruno Langley, who plays Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street, will reportedly be quizzed by police over claims he acted inappropriately towards a woman in a bar
Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley will reportedly be interviewed by police over claims he acted inappropriately towards a woman in a Manchester bar.
The 34-year-old, who plays Todd Grimshaw in the soap, is said to be 'devastated' following the allegations but does not know what the woman is accusing him of beyond 'inappropriate conduct'.
ITV launched an investigation when the woman filed a formal complaint the day after meeting Langley in a bar.
It was initially believed the police were not involved in the investigation but it has now been reported they will speak to him.
A source told The Sun: 'Bruno will now be spoken to by the police and ITV have been made aware they are investigating the incident.
'He's very upset at the allegations but the police are treating the matter very seriously and have formally become involved.
'At this stage, everything is very unclear and, of course, Bruno needs the opportunity to respond to what has been claimed, so nobody is jumping to any conclusions.'
A source close to Langley told MailOnline: ‘Bruno is yet to be contacted by police but if he was he would co-operate fully.’
A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman confirmed they were investigating a report a woman in her 30s had been sexually assaulted.

The father-of-one split from partner Victoria Roscoe in 2013 and has since spoken of how he always 'tries to be a gentleman' when talking to the opposite sex.
On screen, Langley plays bad boy Todd, Corrie's first openly gay character.
But in real life he is a devoted father to Freddie, 10, his son with his ex-girlfriend.
He has previously said: 'I love being a dad. I have him to stay as much as I can.'
