Rose McGowan steps out for a bite to eat in Los Angeles in the wake of Harvey Weinstein sex abuse scandal

Rose McGowan was spotted in Los Angeles on Tuesday night grabbing some food at the Grove shopping center.

The actress had just spent time in Hawaii after suddenly canceling an appearance at a film festival last week in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex abuse scandal.

Rose, 44, has been vocal in support of the women speaking out about the movie producer who's been accused of assault and rape by numerous actresses.

Rose, who is best known for horror movie Scream and TV series Charmed, was one of the first to be named as a victim of Weinstein in a New York Times article which revealed that the Miramax founder had paid off sexual harassment accusers for decades.

Last week, she called off an appearance at the Tallgrass Film Festival in Kansas just 24 hours before she was to be honored with the event's Ad Astra Award. The festival put out a statement saying that the actress's 'well-being is the priority.'

On Tuesday evening, she looked relaxed as she went shopping in a sleeveless white top with a zipper down the front and black leggings.

She added a few inches to her height with platform sandals and carried a black backpack.

Later, she was seen having changed into platform shoes and sporting reflective sunglasses as she chatted away on her phone.

Meanwhile, Deadline.com reported Wednesday that Rose will make her first big public appearance since the scandal broke at the Women's Convention in Detroit.

She is set to deliver opening remarks at the conference on Friday, according to the website.

She will also take part in the Fighting for Survivors of Sexual Assault in the Age of Betsy Devos panel at the event on Friday afternoon.

While she's been keeping a low profile in public, the Charmed star hasn't stopped taking to social media to stick up for dozens of women who have spoken out publicly against the movie mogul.

Those victims include Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and most recently, Lupita Nyong'o.

Last week Rose blasted Weinstein for disputing Oscar winner Nyong'o's scathing claims about Harvey's behavior.

'Watch out HW, if you come for one of us, you come for all of us. #ROSEARMY #LupitaNyongo,' McGowan tweeted late Friday, hours after Weinstein's rep said he has a 'different recollection' than Nyong'o.

'Dear Monster, here come the girls,' McGowan continued.

The actress, who broke through in the Weinstein-produced slasher Scream, reportedly sued Weinstein after an alleged assault in 1997 at the Sundance Film Festival.

Weinstein's rep has said he denies 'any claims of non-consensual sex'.

McGowan is believed to have signed a non-disclosure agreement at the close of the suit and has only referred to him obliquely in social media since.
