Flower power: Hilary Duff looks cheery in a bright floral shirt and skinny jeans as she shops for a Halloween costume in West Hollywood

She's looked happier than ever over the past few weeks after reuniting with her musician former flame Matthew Koma.

And Hilary Duff displayed a cheery disposition as she shopped for a Halloween costume in a bold and bright outfit West Hollywood on Friday.

The actress and singer, 30, dressed casually for her day of running errands, teaming a floral Hawaiian-style shirt with charcoal skinny jeans from Mother.

The former child star kept comfortable in taupe suede pumps, while toting a large maroon leather handbag over one shoulder.

Hilary accessorized with a pair of gold hoop earrings, while carrying a pair of aviator sunglasses, her phone and a bottle of water in her hand.

The mother-of-one wore her blonde hair in loose waves and accentuated her pretty features with natural make-up.

It would seem Hilary was shopping for a Halloween outfit, and later took to Instagram to post a snap of herself dressed up as a cute bunny rabbit.

Rip up the rule book and opt for Mother ripped hem jeans like Hilary

Hilary Duff looked more casual than scary when she was spotted shopping for a Halloween customer recently.

The singer and actress opted for a paired down, casual jeans and shirt vibe which we love. These jeans by popular brand Mother are a stone wash charcoal with a high rise fit and zig-zag cut ripped hems. With the distressed vibe in denim not appearing to be disappearing anytime soon we think it is time to purchase a pair and make them a statement piece for your everyday wear.

Want to steal Hilary's exact pair? Then click right now to shop them at Revolve for just under £200. Alternatively, shop form our edit below of amazing high street copies like Zara, Topshop and Asos that are bound to not break the bank (or denim trends) yet leaving you with edgier aesthetics to an otherwise basic look. Or opt for a designer look with our pick of Grlfrnd jeans.

Just make you get the fit right and wear with flats during the day and rock heels for night. Keep shirts tucked in or oversized to keep the balance of shape perfectly.

Posing in sequin-embellished ears, she comically wrote: '.... starts with a b ends with an unny.'

Hilary appeared to confirm her romantic reunion with musician ex, Matthew Koma, 30, earlier this week when she posted a boomerang video of her planting a kiss on his cheek.

The couple initially split in March after a three-month fling, but were spotted back together at her 30th birthday bash on September 28.

'Since Matt got back from tour, they've been seeing each other again,' a source told E! News on October 6.

'Him being gone on tour was the main reason things didn't work out the first time around so now that he's back they picked up right where they left off.'

Before Matthew, Hilary romanced businessman Ely Sandvik and celebrity trainer Jason Walsh.

Hilary was previously married to hockey player Mike Comrie, 37, from August 2010 until January 2014, with their divorce finalized in 2016.

The couple co-parent son Luca, five.

'Some of my friends tell me, "God, it must be so nice, you get a break from your kid because you share him,' Hilary told Redbook back in March.

'I'm divorced, and it sucks. Well, it did suck for a while; now it's just normal. But it's true, I do get a break.

'I had Luca by myself for a few weeks, no help, when Mike was on the road, and when he got home I was like, "He's yours! Bye!"'
