And Julianne Hough looked every inch the blonde bombshell when she sported a mass of golden curls on the set in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday.

Despite her casual attire, the 29-year-old was transformed by her coiffed hair, which was styled to suit the 50s era.

Ever the Hollywood beauty, the fresh-faced actress looked positively glowing and youthful before heading into make-up.

Julianne pulled a casual cardigan over an calf-grazing striped frock, which she wore with a teal fedora hat.

The Dancing With The Stars professional was pictured in conversation with her on-screen husband, who's played by Tyler Hoechlin.

They filmed on location at a low-key eatery to give the Southern based film an authentic look.

Calum Von Moger will play the young Arnold Schwarzenegger and Arash Rahbar will take on the role of Frank Zane.

Julianne's latest movie venture comes as the professional dancer settles into married life.

Three months ago, she tied the knot with NHL hockey star Brooks Laich in July, three years after going public with their romance.

Julianne has confessed marriage has made her feel more excited than ever in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Of their marriage, she said: 'All my friends are like, "I think you're the most excited person to be married ever!"

'Obviously, our day-to-day life is similar, but just the deep amount and sense of love that you have for this person and just feeling totally one is so much more grand than I ever imagined.'
