About Me

.Just to tell you a bit about myself, my name is John and I've been interested in all things to do with outer space since I was a child.

That said, I'm not a professional or anything, more an enthusiatic amateur. Although, at school, I specialised in science subjects, taking maths, physics and chemistry at A level, my career choice was in music. After many years as a gigging musician, I now earn my living as a piano teacher.

That said, I'm not a professional or anything, more an enthusiatic amateur. Although, at school, I specialised in science subjects, taking maths, physics and chemistry at A level, my career choice was in music. After many years as a gigging musician, I now earn my living as a piano teacher.

However, my love of the Universe remains and all its wonders and mysteries still fascinate me and fill me with awe.

I decided to start this website to share my enthusiasm. Its objective is to inform anyone who's interested about the numerous wondrous things that can be found out there, plus many fascinating concepts of the Universe that are weird, to say the least.

Whenever I see a quiz show on TV and there is a question about, say, our solar system, it never ceases to amaze me how little the average person knows about it. This, in astronomical terms, is our own back yard! My quest is to educate and inform you in an easy to understand way.

It's one thing, however, just listing the planets and saying how far from the Sun they are, etc., but it's quite something else to tackle things like black holes, multiple universes and string theory. Yes, these subjects will be covered and, hopefully, I'll be able to explain them in such a way that you'll "get it".

This is not meant to be a cold, clinical, scientific look at the Universe. My intention is to create an informal, easy to read website, one that you'll enjoy perusing, containing information you'll find interesting and fascinating.

Plus, now you know a little bit about who's writing it!
