And Kylie Minogue proved she has barely aged a day since 1986 as she rocked super retro curls for a series of sultry Instagram shots on Friday.

The pop icon, 49, looked almost indistinguishable from her 18-year-old permed self as she worked the 80s inspired look, which she paired with an attention-grabbing fuschia pink gown.

The plunging gown showed off the Can't Get You Outta My Head singer's braless bust and toned frame, which flashing her endless legs through a daring split in the dress' skirt.

Her sparkling peepers were enhanced with fluttery lashes and smoky shadow while her plump pout was painted in a rose gloss.

Striking a series of sizzling poses that made the most of her petite frame, the Especially For You hitmaker looked every inch the superstar as she worked the camera.

The snaps, which fans speculated could be for a new album cover, got an overwhelmingly positive response from Kylie's 1.5m followers with one writing 'Omg you get younger and younger'

Another enamoured fan labelled Kylie's look, 'the 80s reinvented' with another writing 'your curls are everything.'

Kylie has been throwing herself into work since her split from fiance Joshua Sasse, 29, back in February.

In an interview with The Sun, the Australian pop star confessed that her new album helped her with healing from her recent break-up, as she found the process 'cathartic'.

Speaking about her new record, Kylie told the newspaper: 'There’s a little bit of heartbreak, I would say.'

Discussing the recording process she reasoned: 'It was cathartic. It was good. In the studio it’s a slightly weird concept to be spending seven, eight, nine hours in a room with people sometimes you don’t know.'

'If you’re working with good people it’s the perfect place to deal with stuff... I'm feeling great right now.'

The couple met in 2015, on the set of US TV show Galavant and, months later in February 2016, they publicly announced their engagement.

But a year later Kylie announced their fairytale was over when she confirmed on social media they had gone their separate ways.

Alongside a picture of a beautiful sunrise, Kylie wrote: '#lovers ... Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.

'Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways.'
