Sex robot Samantha could be mass produced in Wales as its designers admit they are 'struggling to meet demand'

  • Samantha is an eerily realistic sex robot with a fully functional vagina
  • It is currently sold in London, but the designers say they can't meet demand
  • They are looking to mass produce Samantha's head at a factory in Wales
  • The news comes just weeks after the designers claimed that Samantha will soon have a 'moral code' which could affect her sex drive

They were once seen as a bizarre fetish, but it seems that sex dolls are now so widely in demand that they could be going into mass production.

The robot's designer claims that he is looking to mass produce the head for Samantha in Wales in a bid to keep up with growing demands.

SILICON SAMANTHA

'Silicon Samantha' is covered in sensors that respond to human touch and can switch between 'family' and 'sexy' mode.

Sensors cover the doll's hips, shoulders, vagina and mouth and have been used to create a 'functional' G-spot.

The doll is fitted with artificial intelligence and is even capable of 'emotional closeness', according to its inventor.

Silicon Samantha is an AI bot with dark brown hair, piercing green eyes, and a fully functional vagina, including a G-spot, according to its inventors, Mr Arran Squire and Dr Sergi Santos.

Samantha, who speaks in an American accent, is capable of imitating an orgasm when touched in the right way,

The robot says sexual phrases such as 'I'm on for you all the time', 'nice and gentle' and 'now then, what's next?'.

Samantha went on sale in London this summer, but demand for the bot has become so high that its designers are looking to go into mass production.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Mr Squire said: 'We are looking to mass produce the head for Samantha.

'We are having so many orders and are struggling to meet demand.

HOW SEX WILL CHANGE

A report last year claims:

By 2030, most people will have some form of virtual sex as casually as they browse porn today.

By 2035 the majority of people will own sex toys that interact with virtual reality sex.

'Sexbots' will start to appear in high-income, very wealthy households as soon as 2025.

Sex with robots will be more popular than human-human sex in 2050.

Love and the act of sex is set to become increasingly separate, with relationships increasingly becoming based on more than just sex.

'We would very much like a company in North Wales to mass produce the head, including skull electronics.'

The news comes just a month after Dr Santos claimed that Samantha will soon have a 'moral code' which could affect her sex drive.

Dr Santos said that his bots will become more aroused by people who treat them respectfully.

However, despite a new moral judgement code, the bots won't have the ability to be put off sex altogether, says Dr Santos.

Dr Santos told IBTimes that within two to three months, he can make Samantha have a conversation with him and judge his character.

'She might be able to tell if I'm evil or not,' he said.

Currently, the sex bot's arousal levels are affected by a partner touching her erogenous zones, and she can even reach a simulated orgasm via penetration if she's aroused enough.

Dr Santos says he can now make Samantha's arousal dependent on how good of a person she's judged her partner to be, and if he's spent time talking with her.

Samantha will be able to remember who she is, and how her partner has affected her, the engineer says.

Dr Santos also says that his designs could soon have children with their owners, predicting a future where humans and machines will marry, using technology to create offspring.

He has already begun working on a way to achieve this aim, by blending his mind with that of his creation.

Rather than designing machines that can give birth themselves, Dr Santos says he can merge an android's personality with the characteristics and beliefs of its human partner.

Computer software would then be used to create a new AI brain for the child based on this information, as well as 3D printing schematics for its body.

Speaking to The Sun, Santos said: 'Using the brain I have already created, I would program it with a genome so he or she could have moral values, plus concepts of beauty, justice and the values that humans have.

'Then to create a child with this robot it would be extremely simple.

'I would make an algorithm of what I personally believe about these concepts, and then shuffle it with what she thinks and then 3D print it.

'That's it. I 3D print the robot that is the child of me and the robot, I don't see any complications.'
